This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: I think the table is supposed to be a staged LA in the style of Savage Species. Since the way this works is not SRD, some explanation is needed.

Ork Noble

The Ork Noble is both a race and a class.
They are one of the five basic sub-races of the Orks in Teoryran Setting.
that make up the Red Shogunate.
Before being a Samurai or being a failure as a Samurai,
a noble is still a noble. Without Samurai traits
he is educated young man, with great moral and spiritual strengths.
Something of a diplomat and bureaucrat all in one
but not necessary a Samurai Soldier.
The Ork noble houses descend from tribes of hunters and warriors,
that organised themselves into an civilised caste society.
The soldiers aristocracy, long ago overthrew the court aristocrats
who did not fight at all so in theory,
all nobles should be soldiers,
In reality, many nobles are still specialised aristocrats
that are incapable of soldering, so they have no or low levels
of Samurai classes.

Personality

As a social class the ork nobles are strong, mentaly and physically, and stern non-social leaders that expect their orders to be followed without need for charisma checks. Ork Nobles are reserved, correct and silent. They are rarely speak other than orders or questions.

Playing a Ork Noble

Religion: Nobles that are not samurai or are but work with other duties than military, especially bureaucrats usually embrace scholars opinions about how to live their lives ( Confucian counterparts). Belief in mystic medicine and society is basically a secular religion. Atheism is common, with belief in weak non-god spirits in nature, or reincarnations. Worship of ancestors is very important, because of funerals and family values. Gentlemen that become Samurai Soldiers, prefer the belief in self extermination, anti-life death worship, rejection of evil of wanting to live, rejection of the material and preparation for reincarnation. Reincarnation’s usually don’t believe in Gods, but accept worship of Gods as spiritual revelations of enlightenments or reincarnated saints. ( Military Zen-Buddhism) .

Other Classes: Other classes are the Ork Nobles servitors or allies. Other Samurai and Priests are allies, peasants are fighters and outcasts their ninjas. Orks rarely have healers but it happens.

Combat: Warriors with Samurai Classes or bystanders to be protected

Advancement: Ork Nobles begin with at least one level in Ork Noble. Then they can only take Samurai classes from the table in Teoryran Classes. Se Teoryran Setting.

Ork Nobles in Teoryran

<-Some quote from a character of this class->
—<-NPC name->, <-race-> <-class->
The Orks live in the Red Shogunate, on the Isle that the gods gave Orks,
in return for releasing the Kored God whom was in ancient times, captured by orks legendary heroes.
In these lands they are divided into five sub races and five social castes.
Ork Nobles, spend their lives dedicated to submission, reverence and obligation towards family, their superior eldest’s relatives from distant families, their military and bureaucratic superiors.
Its all a spiritual and worldly hierarchy.
on a huge level, each noble is a part of a successful hybrid of feudalism and centralised state bureaucracy.
He is bound to the district he lives that is ruled by government from a clan
that makes the hole district a feudal vassal state to other districts, all the way up
to the Shogun. Within the district there is an nearly independent and state plutocracy.
Nobles are allowed a great freedom take up residence with their family wherever they like in the district.
Urban residences can be rented or bought cheep, or they can be given small country housing.
The Clan offers many different life style options.
Poor nobles are given housing and some allowance for service,
and better is possible for those with money.
Samurai are allowed to pursue other fields of expertise than fighting for payment,
and allowed to increase their social status.
However, all samurais are limited by their birth rank, the state provides
a minimum and maximum of social advancement.
The smallest basic social unit are huge extended families that can marry internally with minimal incest. The smallest families in these unions are also very extended.
Their lives consists of hierarchy of submission, obligation and reverence.
For their entire lives women submit to their husbands, children to their elders, low samurai to the higher samurais.
The extended family expands through such relations as adopted children’s cousins and the siblings wife’s/husbands family hole family
steps children married into the family, marry the entire family into the family
with step sons brothers wives families etc.
The Orks nobles are intellectual, with great interests in charisma related poetry and art.
Nobles are subject to obligatory Confucian education, that focus on society, ethics, family

and law then poetry, medicine and spirituality.

NPC Reactions: Lesser nobles throw themselves at the feet of higher nobles. Peasants revere and submit to their masters when the masters are around. Nobles must kill all peasants who affront their honour. Outcasts thanking the noble for the honour of meeting them. Nobles themselves, should not insult or speak unnecessary to the lesser and thus not provoke them. The noble should not engage in low jokes, taunts, teasing or anything plump with the lesser castes. With other nobles, it is another thing. In short the social elite should polite even to scum. The peasants are understandable twofaced about this
