Tailpasarans are parasitic worms comprised almost entirely of soft, legless centipede-like segments. Upon one end of its long body is a red-colored drill head. Typically a tailpasaran uses its drill to burrow into the flesh of a larger creature, wherein it rests indefinitely. In this burrowed wound, the tailpasaran gradually and effortlessly absorbs energy and nutrients from its host. Only when disturbed does it fly from the wound and seek to strike down any creature that would attempt to remove it. When threatened and defending itself, the soft portions of the tailpasaran’s body will crackle with magical electricity.

A recently-produced tailpasaran is so miniscule it is almost invisible to the naked eye, and the longer it feeds, the larger it grows. The statistics on this page represent one a Tiny tailpasaran has been feeding on a Huge or larger creature for years. gollark: AQA assembly language is some sort of weird ARM derivative with 13 registers and 1024 words of RAM.
gollark: So the obvious solution is to save time and compile into it.
gollark: We are doing assembly programming in computer science and I dislike their language.
gollark: How quickly can a C compiler be written/retargeted for a bizarre architecture?
