Master Wizard

I'm The Wizard!
—Spellsy McCaster, Human Arcanist/Magician, Spellsy McCaster

Ah, The powers that be (Your DM) has outlawed the usage of the Traditional Wizard Class, proclaiming that their might is an abomination to the game. He is right. But he has not left you defenseless. If you are here, it is most likely that he has pointed you in this direction, so that you might regain some of your Arcane Mastery. Be Warned. The Road to Arcane Mastery is one fraught with Danger. Your progress will be slow. But the spells that you will have at the end of your journey will rival that of the Gods themselves.

Becoming The Master Wizard

This Class Relies Completely on these classes: Arcanist, Variant (3.5e Prestige Class), Medium (3.5e Prestige Class), Magician, Variant (3.5e Prestige Class), Magister (3.5e Prestige Class) based on Wise Wizard (3.5e Class).

Although the Arcanist may sling his fireballs, and the Magister may weave his protective magics, you realize that the true path to arcane power lies in the mastery of every school. Your colleagues may scoff at you, advising that you stick with one profession. But you know better, don't you? Through intense study, you have found that all magic, as intricate as it is, can be traced back to a singular source. The Weave.

For the sake of Clarity, we will confer different Monikers to the different combination of classes that can be obtained through the use of this Prestige Class. This also results in less confusion should you choose to have more than one Version of this Prestige Class.

Magister/Medium: Planar Savant

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Master Wizard.

Familiar Advancement: The Wizard's Previous Class levels stack with their Wizard class levels to determine the strength of their Familiar.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain spells known, spells per day, and increased caster level as if you had gained a level in two of your Wizardly Types Classes. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than two Wizardly Types spellcasting classes before becoming a Wizard, you must decide to which 2 classes to add each level for the purpose of determining spells known, spells per day, and increased caster levels.

Campaign Information

Playing a Master Wizard

Combat: Well he's a wizard. Perhaps a little heartier than your normal squishy variety, but still a wizard. In the back he goes.

Advancement: Most Characters who pick up levels in this prestige class see it through to the end. After obtaining all ten levels in the prestige class, many will return back to their original classes to gain more spellcasting power. Some, however, will take levels in a new Wizardly Type Class (Or two Wise Wizard Classes) To gain access to another Master Wizard Class. IE. An Arcanist3/Medium3/Wizard (Dread Arcanist)10 might take levels in Magister and Magician in order to become a Wizard (Shadowshield)

Resources: Most Wizards will eagerly trade knowledge and spells with one another, or begin tutelage of a lesser experience apprentice.
