After dying to having his Shukaku extracted by the Akatsuki, Gaara was ressurected by Chiyo, and brought back to his senses by Naruto. Having no particularly fond memories of the previous generation, and a strong attachment to the new, Gaara completely devoted himself to allying the nations together, which occasionally resulted in headbutting between him and Onoki. He was ultimately the focal point of unifying the Allied Shinobi Forces as a single, non-feuding military force during the Fourth Shinobi World War.
