It can be used in one or two hands like a spear, but in the hands of a master both heads can be used effectively. Double weapon When you take the Attack action and attack with the double spear, you can use a bonus action to make another attack with the double spear. If this attack hits, you deal 1d4 piercing damage. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.
