Cold Heart

This is a sorcerer's Origin. Your heart has been forever changed by cold, cold emotion. Sorcerer with the Cold Heart bloodline awaken their power after a traumatic experience, and use their sadness and melancholy to fuel their power. Their powers can appear due to a great cataclysm caused by an powerful entity with ice powers, like an white dragon or a ice demon, or maybe you were born during a long and supernatural winter, or your lineage might be related to planes related to ice and cold, such as Agathys or the Winter Court of the Feywild.

Eyes of the Winter

At 1st level, as a bonus action, you can attempt to freeze one medium or smaller creature that you can see within 60 feet of you. If the creature fails on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC it is petrified until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature once, and you regain the use of this feature when you finish a short or long rest.

Ice Lore

Starting at 1st, 3rd and again 5th level, you learn a new spell that you can cast using your regular spell slots. These spells count as sorcerer spells, but don’t count against the number of spells known.

1st: ray of frost

3rd: ice knife

5th: slow

Glacial Form

Starting at 6th level, as an Action, for 1 minute you summon powers of the cold. While your glacial form is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain AC of 13 + your Constitution modifier.
  • The terrain around you in a 15-foot square becomes difficult terrain as frost forms over it.
  • You gain resistance to cold and piercing damage.
  • Your speed halves.
  • You can add your Spell Attack modifier to any cold damage rolls you make.

You can disable Glacial Form at any time (no action required).

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Frozen Powers

At 14th level you have acquired mastery over ice powers:

  • You can use Eyes of the Winter twice, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest
  • You can use Glacial Form twice, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against your Eyes of the Winter trait.
  • Eyes of the Winter can now target Large or smaller creatures and ignores any resistances.
Below Zero

At 18th level you gain full control over cold elements and winter creatures gaining the following:

  • You can summon a Winter wolf that you can control using your bonus action. This ability requires concentration. If you lose concentration the spell fades.

You can use this feature only once per long rest.

  • When you use Glacial Form you gain immunity to cold and piercing damage instead of resistance.
  • Your sorcerer spells ignore resistance and immunity to cold damage
  • You gain resistance to poison, psychic, force and slashing damage.
