Tanner Jacobi

Tanner Jacobi is a Life enthusiast who has made numerous contributions to research about Conway's Game of Life, particularly conduits and glider reflectors.

He discovered several notable conduits for various objects, most famously the syringe, which won the Pattern of the Year competition in 2015.[1] He also found a large number of periodic bumper mechanisms and period-multiplying stable reflectors.

In addition, he found the oscillators 84P87, the smallest known period 87 oscillator, and Tanner's p46, which produces sparks that can be used in conjunction with the twin bees shuttle or with other copies of itself.

He contributes to the ConwayLife forums and wiki under the username "Kazyan."
