Odd keys
Odd keys is a period-3 oscillator found by Dean Hickerson in August 1989. It can be extended horizontally as in the original form of Jason's p33.

Synthesis
In January 2000 Mark Niemiec found a 21-glider synthesis of this oscillator.[1] On August 25th 2016, Goldtiger997 found a 10-glider synthesis of odd keys, which was later reduced to 9 gliders by Dave Greene.[2]
