Wreck-It Ralph/WMG

The movie will end with Ralph getting his own spin-off game where he's the hero instead of Felix!

A fitting end to a movie about a villain trying to reform himself. Also, both characters are clearly expies of Donkey Kong and Jumpman, and what happened to Kong after Jumpman got his own spin-off?! ;)

  • Maybe Ralph had these games all along, and didn't know because he was stuck in the Arcade.
  • Said spin-off could be based on Wrecking Crew.
  • And it will be called Wreck-it-Ralph Nation

Fix-It Felix Jr. is actually the sequel to Fix-It Felix where Ralph was, in fact, the hero saving his forest from destruction by Fix-It Felix Sr. Ralph was in fact the hero of his franchise all along.

This game is not an expy of Donkey Kong but instead an expy of Donkey Kong Junior with all that entails! Ralph was a hero all along.

Wreck-It Ralph was in Development Hell because it was originally planned as an adaptation of Super Mario Bros.

The Disney Animated Canon has always been known for adaptations of other material, and of video games, Super Mario Bros. is the best known. In addition, because Disney owns the rights to the film adaptation, Disney thought they still had the film rights to the franchise. However, Nintendo wrecked the idea at some point.

  • Dang, that would have been incredible. An animated, true-to-the-source Mario adaption by Disney would have rocked!
  • As much as I'd like to see a Disney Mario movie, I doubt it's the case. If they evidently have the rights to have Bowser appear, you'd think that they could do a Mario adaptation if they wanted to.
    • Unless Nintendo specifically objected to the way their characters were being used. Someone may have felt that making you feel bad about beating up Donkey Kong is probably not a good way to sell new games starring the guy who beats up Donkey Kong.
      • Except that Nintendo's already done that, and most new Mario games aren't about beating up Donkey Kong anyway.

Things/Character expies from other video games that may appear in this movie as either scripted roles or background extras...

Ralph will be The Woobie / Gentle Giant incarnate.

  • The whole premise of the movie is based on the fact that Ralph's miserable as a baddie. In the video game, his house gets torn down to make way for an apartment complex, and after he gets mad and starts breaking things, a bunch of kids throw him off the roof and into the mud! My bets are that when he's trying to reform, something will screw him over. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Felix will not become or turn out to be a villain.

It's far too obvious to turn the hero into a villain once the original villain has a Heel Face Turn. I think it's more likely that Ralph and Felix will work together to defeat the evil. Besides, if Felix is really based off of Mario, he's going to be too nice of a guy to pull a Face Heel Turn.

  • Mario has been a villain before if you count Donkey Kong Jr.
    • But that was his ONLY TIME he was a villain.

Mario and Sonic will make an appearance together in the movie, similarly at how Mickey and Bugs Bunny did in Roger Rabbit.

It's only logical to top these all great homages to videogames with an duo appearance of two most famous and biggest videogame stars. It will surely grant loads of cheers from the theaters and eventually lots of fame for the movie itself.

  • Jaleel White probably won't reprise Sonic, since he insisted he wanted to move on years ago. But a voice from one of the games, like Roger Craig Smith, may be up for it! As for Mario, Charles Martinet, who has been voicing him since 1995, is up for anything concerning the character!

Ralph will fall in love and eventually get together with Vanelope Von Schweetz.

It just seems so obvious they would pair the Gentle Giant with the cute girl who is the only one who understands him.

Ralph looks up to Mario as a role model in his efforts to reform

On the arcade art and sprites, as well as some other released pictures from the early parts of the film, Ralph wears orange and brown. In another leaked image, Ralph is seen in Mario's iconic red and blue colors. What better hero to try and emulate then THE video game hero?

The movie will be a Deconstruction of the Designated Villain

Even though Ralph was wrong on wrecking the apartment, its not hard to take his side since his home was destroyed to make way for urbanization. The movie will show how being designated wrongfully as the villian would do to a person.

The villain of the movie will be a video game character who is taking his role as Designated Villain to its logical extreme

Considering the interactions between the various video game characters, even between heroes and villains, it would make sense for the villain of this film to take his role to its logical extreme and threaten Game Central. It would also be a perfect parallel to Ralph in that he too is a designated villain, but is wanting to become the hero which leads to...

Ralph ends up winning against the villain, by taking advantage of the fact that the villain is operating as a video game villain

The villain will be completely locked into following the conventions of video game villains. It will be from the so-called 'glitch' that Ralph will learn that you can break the rules of the game, and it will be because of Ralph breaking them and thus cheating that the villain will ultimately be defeated.

Just a theory, but when Dr. Eggman makes his cameo

Mike Pollock will be reprising his role as Dr. Eggman. At least just in theory anyway.

  • My bet is on Jim Cummings. He has done many voices for Disney and he has also voiced Dr Robotnik before.
    • Jossed. Mike Pollock stated on his Twitter that Disney didn't even notify him of the film.

A Kingdom Hearts character will make a cameo

With Bowser and other video game characters appearing, surely Disney wouldn't want to miss out on a video game character of their own creation. Maybe a Heartless will be in the support group, maybe a Keyblade will be among various video game weapons, maybe Sora himself appears, but Kingdom Hearts may be represented somewhere in Wreck It Ralph.

  • Well, the T. Rex from Meet the Robinsons has a background cameo, but he wasn't in Kingdom Hearts.
  • Inversely, when Ralph appears in the actual series itself, he'll be the only character aware that he's a video game character since he'll actually be sneaking into the Kingdom Hearts series rather than an FPS.
    • Following this, Sora and company will be completely confused at his comments about Kingdom Hearts video games even as they ally with him and rid Game Central Station of the Heartless threat.

Fix-it Felix has been lied to.

Well, not necessarily lied to. It's more like he hasn't gotten the full story. He has no idea that Wreck-It Ralph's home has been destroyed, and has been led to believe that he's just some muscly lunatic who just decided to break down a building one day.

  • That might not be the case, as the trailer implies that Felix, as well as the characters in the game, know that it's Ralph's job to destroy the building as part of the game.

Whether it be Mama Luigi; Well, Excuse Me, Princess!; Do a Barrel Roll; PINGAS; Your Princess Is in Another Castle; whatever, there will be either a verbal or visual gag referencing a meme.

The enemy Ralph accidentally unleashes is the final boss of Hero's Duty.

There will be a Captain Ersatz version of The Angry Video Game Nerd somewhere.

You know it would be awesome.

There are copies and copies of Ralphs, Felixs, Calhoun's and others in other arcade centers who all repeat the same adventure.

This film only focuses on the innerworks of a single arcade center. Surely the characters from other arcade centers are also aware they are video game characters and are only doing their jobs.

The movie takes place in the same universe as Kid Radd.

Viewtiful Joe will gain Medium Awareness

A movie that has a cameo where a game character that enters movies knowing full well that he is in a movie now knows he's actually part of a game just might be able to see that the events that occur in the plot are actually parts of a movie. Of course no one believes him.

Ralph's leaving will cause his future rendition of himself ceasing to exist in Wreck-It Ralph Jr, where Fix-It Felix will most likely Travel back 'in time' to the original Wreck-It Ralph machine to conquer the video game Multiverse, or at least his games

Think about it, the original plot of Donkey Kong was that Mario had a pet gorilla (DK) who he badly treated, so DK kidnapped Pauline/Lady so that he could protect her..but since Disney is known for making stories softer and less blatant, they concept some sort of storyline where Ralph was merely misunderstood with situations like tearing down his own home. (and possibly squeezing in some sort of environmental impact)

Ralph leaving his own game causes himself to not exist in Wi R Jr, assuming that the film takes place in the present, thus actually a bunch of Ralphs hailing from games that was produced in the 80's and 90's, Felix goes mad with power, possibly stealing knowledge from other video game characters as he goes, possibly having Wreck-It Ralph Jr as a henchman.

Ralph saves the day, becoming Fix-It Ralph in the progress, becoming friends with the original Felix, repairing whatever destruction the "Future" Felix had caused, and remembering that although he was once a villain, he should know that villains are characters too.

  • Possibly jossed. At the moment it seems implied that these are characters in individual cabinets, kind of like Kidd Radd. Of course, this now requires you to figure out why an arcade Sonic game with a modern Ivan "Eggman" Robotnik design, or possibly an arcade game with Bowser.

The sentence "All Your Base Are Belong to Us" will be said at some point. Hell, maybe CATS is the villain of the film.

If not that, "For Great Justice".

Flynn's Arcade will be mentioned somewhere.

Some Tron reference has to be somewhere in the film. Or, hell Kevin Flynn being mentioned somewhere. Tron and Sark could make a hero and villain cameo as well, in the background.

The blonde girl in pink will interact with the game characters in some manner, aiding them.

Note that the girl in the trailer that notices Ralph is missing happens to be the person playing Hero's Duty when Ralph slams against the screen complaining about how scary games have become.
