  • According to one of This Troper's classmates, Burns is Jeff Bridges, Sam Gideon is Nathan Drake If He Smoked Too Much, and the President is Hillary Clinton.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Burns is Steve Blum, and as a result it sounds like you're charging into battle side by side with Oghren.
  • Sam Gideon is voiced by Gideon Emery. You probably know him better as Balthier or (considering the above) Fenris.
  • Speaking of FFXII, Elena is Princess Ashe! You may know her better as Raine Sage or Lady.
  • The President is a certain Big Mama.
• What Could Have Been: The development blog on Platinum's site details a few cool concepts that didn't make it into the game like Sam having a robot dog who can launch missiles at enemies and provide mobile cover. Another having a female android partner who could transform and combine with Sam. The former eventually inspired the character of Bladewolf from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
  • The robots get mobile cover robots, much like pets. One of them even turns into a boombox.
