Un-Go/YMMV
- Non Sequitur Scene: In the fourth episode "House, Unmasked", Shinjurou gets pleasured (against his will, mind) by an AI in the body of a plush doll. A roughly eight inch tall plush doll. It starts out as a cute gag and then just escalates wildly.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: Just listen to it!
- Fridge Brilliance: The dream-like, disjointed way episode 7 is presented may grate on your nerves at first... But then you realize that it's how it's supposed to be. The Novelist is dictating the story and plot, and if he feels like using a non-linear narrative, than so much the worse for Shinjurou and for us.
- Watch the last episode. Now watch the ED. See who the arrows are pointing to?
- Oh Crap: Shinjuuro has a huge one at the end of episode 6, when the unnamed novelist reveals that he's The Chessmaster of the entire series so far.
- Though there's also the contributing factor of a freaky girl, with similarities to Inga, appearing out of nowhere in the back of the novelist's prison cell while Shinjurou is looking in.
- Unresolved Sexual Tension: Loads between Rie and Yuuki, Inga (at least in adult form) and Yuuki...
- Inga in her (male) child form, for that matter. Goddamn.
- A little bit less with Izumi, but there's requisite Foe Yay due to the fact that she's a prosecutor and Shinjuro's a detective. Although none of that Foe Yay was present in Episode 0...
- And then truck-loads with the three female actors in the 7th and 8th episodes. But damn, Shinjurou's got game.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Inga. Can turn into a woman, is referred to as a Bishounen on the official website, and was not referred to with gender pronouns in the first episode.
