- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Former Arsenal striker Eduardo who is now at Shakhtar Donetsk after a career blighted by injury. He returned to Arsenal Stadium with his new club in this seasons group stages, not only did he get a standing ovation when he came on, but he capped his return with a goal that was celebrated by the Arsenal fans as much as an Arsenal goal. True to his word before the game he did not celebrate the goal as well.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: The official theme.
- Ear Worm: "THE CHAAAAAAAMPIOOOOONS!!!!"
- Hype Backlash: Since 2003, there has certainly been some of this applied to Real Madrid, and Arsenal have suffered from well before that.
- Arguably the Group Stage suffers from this as a whole.
- Spotlight-Stealing Squad: John Terry & Roman Abramovich, after Chelsea's win in the 2012 final. Terry had been banned from playing in the final after kneeing a Barcelona player in the back during the second leg of the semi final, and Abramovich is Chelsea's owner & has nothing to do with the actual team beyond funding them... Yet both of them went up to collect the trophy following Frank Lampard (Who was standing in for Tery as team captain due to the ban) & before the rest of the team and the coach. It was made even worse by Terry changing into his Chelsea kit, so he looked like he had been part of the team, and UEFA barring banned players from taking part in the presentation in previous years.
