Tokumei Sentai Gobusters/YMMV

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: While the fandom's reaction is mixed about every thing else, the return of wrist mounted morphers has received mostly positive feedback.
    • The fact the mecha are going to have a more complex combination this time after several seasons of block formers has also been well received.
    • Chida Nikku's bike form is well-received by fans who longed for bikes to return in Super Sentai.
    • Now that we have clearer images of the suits, the reaction to them has really gone up. There is a new material being used for the suits after roughly 32 years of spandex.
    • The story and especially character departments aren't gonna fall behind though, because Yasuko Kobayashi is back!!
    • Power Rangers fans are happy due to all the Shout Outs. Not to mention that one of the more annoying PR elements (civilian powers, thank you Disney) gets a much needed Deconstruction.
    • Hiroya Matsumoto is back!
  • Awesome Music: Busters, Ready Go!
  • Complete Monster: Enter is shaping up to be one, given the total glee he takes in doing what he does. The biggest example was making a Metaroid at the hospital in Mission 3, which ran around turning people into robots, while Enter drained the hospital's supply of energy to create Mooks, which would cause the ICU unit to run out of power and result in the deaths of a large number of people. Enter gleefully admits that this was solely for Messiah's amusement and was having a hell of a time himself. As of #10, it has been revealed that turning people into robots is not just once-in-a-week plan, but something he can do in daily basis. Not to mention that he's not above using these robot-men as human shields and doesn't care if these men get sucked into hyperspace for a horrible fate.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Enter has proven to be quite popular amongst fans, who like him not only because of his enjoyment of being the bad guy, but also due to being a quite credible threat, being able to go toe-to-toe with the Go-Busters in fights and succeeding in several of his missions.
    • Among the heroes, the most popular character is, oddly, Usada.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Apparently the Magi Yellow outfit can promote its actor to gold status (before Hiroya Matsumoto/Tsubasa returned as Beet Buster, Nic Sampson/Chip returned as the Sentinel Knight.)
  • Memetic Mutation: Two episodes in and there's already a tally running to count how many times the Go-Busters throw their glasses aside.
    • Go-Buster Ace dancing.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Their plan in Mission 3 pushes Messiah and Enter over this, as the Unwilling Roboticisation and near mass murder committed in the episode was outright said by Enter to be solely For the Evulz.
  • Most Annoying Sound: The sound heard whenever a Metaroid is created.
  • Narm: Half the fanbase considers it Darker and Edgier Deconstruction. The other half of the fanbase is rolling their eyes at chickens and not eating enough candy being weaknesses.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Mission 3, which is not unlike a Zombie Apocalypse.
    • Overheated Ryūji is badass, but his way of fighting was utterly sadistic even for Sentai standards and terrifying. No wonder Yōko was scared out of her pants.
  • Robo Ship: Usada and Yoko.
  • Special Effect Failure: when in close-up shots, the Buddyroids' eyes just look like glow-in-the-dark stickers.
  • Tough Act to Follow: After a season which many consider one of the best, Go-busters has a lot to live up to if it doesn't want the only thing going for it to be the eventual team-up with Gokaiger. The fact that Gokaiger also had almost every other Sentai Warrior thrown in does not help Go-busters.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The special effects are really top notch this year.
    • Notable is the almost complete lack of stock footage, especially when the previous season was full of it.
