The Nameless Mod/Characters
Trestkon
- Badass Longcoat - Possible clothing choice.
- Canada, Eh?
- Cool Shades - Possible clothing choice.
- Deadpan Snarker
- Fallen Hero - If you go the "evil" route.
- Genre Savvy
- Impossibly Cool Clothes
- Instant Expert
- MacGyvering
- My Name Is Not Durwood - Scara will only call him by his correct name once, and that is if he allows Silver Dragon to escape.
- Only Sane Man
- Retired Badass - At least in the beginning of the game.
- Private Detective - He's hired as one by PDX. It's the player's choice wether he wants to go with it or pursue darker goals.
- Straight Man
- The Hero (Range of heroism can vary from the way you play him all the way from The Messiah and Actual Pacifist levels to Villain Protagonist who is also an Omnicidal Maniac)
Phasmatis
- Big Brother Mentor
- Cowboy Cop - He's a little too eager to kill criminals... at least if they're working for greedy megacorporations or crazed religious cults....
- Inspector Lestrade
Deus Diablo
- Badass Longcoat
- Big Good (If you work for WorldCorp)
- Flaming Sword
- Gadgeteer Genius
- James Bondage
- The Lancer (If you work for PDX or Ryan)
King Kashue
- Authority Equals Asskicking
- Badass Longcoat
- Reasonable Authority Figure
- Technical Pacifist He'll still mop the floor with you if you kill anyone in the PDX building when allied with them, or cross him when on the second floor while allied with World Corp, but he generally plays this trope straight.
Kylie Griffin
- Back from the Dead - Should the Genre Savvy player decide to kill her in Sol's Bar and then align themselves with PDX, she returns in the final level having been revived by Worldcorp's technology. If you align with Worldcorp, she stays dead.
- Dark Action Girl
- Dragon Their Feet - It's possible to fight her after banning Scara if you're doing the "Siding with Ryan" ending.
- Hannibal Lecture - She gives one of these if you kill too many people during the "good" route.
- Psycho Ex-Girlfriend - She can be won back, if you go the "evil" route.
- Psycho for Hire
- Skippable Boss
- The Dragon - To Scara B. King.

Beeblequix
- Adventurer Archaeologist
- Ensemble Darkhorse
- Fan Boy - Of Indiana Jones, who his avatar and ingame wallpaper are modeled after.
- Genius Ditz
- Hypocritical Humor - One PM from him criticizes the Deus Ex infolink messages for being too long while going on and on about it.
- Voice with an Internet Connection - Optional, but while the messages delay your ability to save during jump puzzles, they are worth it.
Ryan
Slicer
- Doesn't Like Guns - Even when he's imprisoned in a cell and you offer him a weapon, he'll only take blades.
- Intrepid Reporter
- Knife Nut
- Master Swordsman - Yeah, he likes blades a lot.
- Recurring Boss - If the player doesn't kill him.
- Skippable Boss
- Weapon of Choice
