Teen Wolf (TV series)/YMMV
- Complete Monster: Peter looks to be just a murdering psychopath, until the story reveals all the people he killed were related to the murder of his family. Kate, however, crosses the line by burning down a house full of NORMAL and INNOCENT people just to get to some werewolves (which doesn't even kill a few of them.). Even Mr. Argent does a small Heel Face Turn because of her actions violating the hunter's code.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: Much like the show that inspired it, this show is packed with lots of alternative and indie pop.
- Evil Is Sexy: Kate, despite being borderline sociopathic, is quite attractive.
- Genius Bonus, also Stealth Pun: Stiles's line "Be a Man. Be a Werewolf. Not a Teen Wolf, but a Werewolf." In Old Engilsh, from whence the word Werewolf derives, 'wer' means man.
- Hey, It's That Guy!: Jackson apparently moved away from The Gates...only to run into MORE werewolves.
- Magnificent Bitch: Kate, easily.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- In the opening of the fourth episode, we have a scene of The Big Bad Wolf running alongside a car, nearly out of sight. Creepy.
- Invoked In-Universe when Derek asks Stiles to cut off his arm.
- The video store scene
- Oooh yeah, a nice bit of Fan Service with shirtless Jackson...wait...is that...Oh God Why is there a BLACK CLAWED HAND COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH???
- The Alpha had no qualms about disabling Stiles's car by dismantling the battery and throwing it into the school as a taunt. And then texting Allison under the guise of Scott so that she (and, by association, Jackson and Lydia) would come to the school. And then 'warning' the cops that any calls from the high school would be pranks. Yeah, sweet dreams.
- Let's just say all of the "Night School" episode.
- The doctor's check-up scene for Jackson. Try watching it without cringing or grabbing the back of your neck.
- The Alpha revealing his fangs to Lydia. Sweet GOD.
- The hunters torturing the principal.
- Whatever the hell Alyson and Scott encountered in Season 2 episode 2.
- Special Effects Failure:
- The creators of the series noted that they planned to make a werewolf that someone could kiss, or rather make the werewolf sexy. What they have done is made the werewolf look like the one from The Werewolf Of London from the 1930s.
- The CGI deer and mountain lion look pretty cheap, while the Alpha resembles a gorilla with more claws and glowing red eyes. The Alpha also looks quite stop-motion-esque everytime it's chasing someone.
- At times the CGI can be acceptable, at other times the CGI is painful
- The Scrappy: Despite only being around for two episodes, Allison's aunt Kate has become very unpopular.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: When the Alpha was being burned by the self-igniting molotov, DAMN did it look awesome.
- The Worf Effect: The quickest may to show that a bad guy/antagonist means trouble is to have them beat up or harass Derek. Poor guy...
