Strike Witches/YMMV
- Cliché Storm
- Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch: No matter how off-putting the fanservice can be to some, this series' hatedom is way more appalling. Don't bring up this series on Something Awful, if you value your life.
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Several, but especially episode 6.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Erica, to the point of becoming the unofficial mascot of Krautchan
- Sanya's popularity is vastly disproportionate to the amount of screen-time she gets. And she was one of the first characters to receive a figurine.
- Fan Nickname: "Sky Girls no pantsu", "Strike Pantsu", "Pantsu Witches"
- Which is pretty dumb, considering that in Sky Girls the pilots' booties aren't exactly clothed.
- Freud Was Right: "Blitzkrieg", you say? Among other examples.
- The pictures on the left are, as far as I remember, actually Wochenschau footage, explaining the Blitzkrieg tactic to the german populace, with the tip being the assault force, and the rest assembles a secure line of defence for the convoys that supply the tip to keep it going. Yes, this does not make it better, I am clear on that.
- If anything, "supplying the tip" makes it worse

- Growing the Beard: From episode 8 onward. Not that the first half was hideous...
- Les Yay:
- Yoshika has some... interesting dreams about her comrades.
- Charlotte and Francesca seem awfully close, for that matter. And speaking of Francesca.... Oh, and Perrine is pretty much outright Mio's stalker, although it's one sided because Mio is being dense.
- Based on the events in Episode 8, Minna probably transferred her feelings for her old boyfriend (including concern for his safety) to Mio.
- Eila and Sanya.... ("Doesn't it make your heart throb?")
- Memetic Mutation: "Strike Witches love is alive and well... in my pants."
- Moe Moe: Most characters, but especially Sanya (the creators seem determined to play her cuteness for all its worth) and Lynette (clumsy, shy, low self esteem...we could go on).
- Stoic Woobie: Mio. The final episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 deal with her losing her magical power, and by extension, her ability to fight the Neuroi. Every aspect of Mio's character screams "Don't You Dare Pity Me!," but just try to watch her break down in tears in the face of losing her way of life and place in the 501st and not feel sorry for her. Fortunately, she comes to terms with it.
- Tear Jerker: Happens a few times in season 1. Most notably near the end of "We're The Same".
