Roleplayedingly
Here. Spooky jamjar, of a sort - the world changed every week, and it was almost always a parody of an existing Livejournal Roleplay.
Tropes used in Roleplayedingly include:
- Accidental Marriage
- Affably Evil: Balalaika is a pretty good example.
- Affectionate Parody... well, probably affectionate.
- Ambiguous Gender: The Fool being a perfect example, but at one point there was a whole group of the 'let's play the guessing game' types
- Anachronism Stew: Especially prevalent amongst the Axis Powers Hetalia characters- they come from, at the moment of this edit, anywhere from modern times to World War Two.
- Temporal Paradox is really wondered due to the sometimes large gap of time between characters of the same series.
- And I Must Scream: Poland hanging on a wall in Russia's basement for several decades, between Russia's time and his own.
- Anyone Can Die
- Badass Crew
- Big Eater: Yako and Italy. Who would win?
- Break the Cutie: The Murder Mansion is currently engaged in seeing if it can break ALL of the cuties. And doing a damned good job of it.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall
- Brought Down to Normal: Usually worlds involve powers being taken away.
- Played with in regards to the nations. Due to their very basic nature of, you know, being personifications, taking their 'powers' away would make them cease to exist.
- Murder Manison seems to also take away the nations' "powers" without actually taking it. It kills nations off in ways they should have survived from such as Finland burning in a fire.
- Played with in regards to the nations. Due to their very basic nature of, you know, being personifications, taking their 'powers' away would make them cease to exist.
- Character Development And much of it.
- The Chew Toy Everyone in some way
- City with No Name: Many, many of the worlds. Some are given names by the players as well, such as 'Crayon Land' and 'Death Mansion.'
- Crossover
- Crossover Ship: (in-universe example) A Prussia/Yako marriage here, a Gabranth/Saïx fun time here, and that's not the half of it.
- Ukraine has got it going on. There's both Alleyne/Ukraine and Balthier/Ukraine.
- Roland/Zoe has a very dedicated following as of late.
- This troper supports Itsuki Shinonome/Minatsuki Takami.
- A Day at the Bizarro
- Death Is Cheap: And how!
- Death Is a Slap on The Wrist
- Death Takes a Holiday: Between the burning of Murder Mansion and the attack of the Slender Men, there is one night where no one dies at all.
- Deliberate Values Dissonance: Roleplayedingly is designed to revel in the RP world's common sources of drama; the stated rules actually include things like mod favoritism and encouragement to be a jerk to other players. Interestingly, this seems to reduce genuine wank, since attempts at it tend to be dismissed as "somebody following the rules."
- Downer Ending: So very relevant to some plot-ends.
- Dream Land: Visited briefly in a few worlds.
- Driven to Suicide: Sweden and Estonia. Sweden just wants to be with his dead wife, while Estonia justifies his want to die with Someone Has to Die (even though he just wants to see his brother and his best friend again).
- Driving Question: What IS this place?
- Dysfunction Junction
- Eldritch Abomination: Slender Man
- Family-Unfriendly Violence: Happens a lot.
- Family-Unfriendly Death: Not as often as above, but still a lot.
- Famous Last Words: "Don't let Prussia be a dumbfuck."
- Foreign Cuss Word: Fick dich!
- First Kiss
- The Gunslinger: Roland
- Gender Bender
- Green Hill Zone: Crayon Land
- Haunted House
- The Hero: Gabranth could be interpreted like this, along with Roland and anyone, ever, who has fought Slender Man. Ever.
- Heroic BSOD: Poor Zoe...
- Holding Hands This begins the idea of Estonia and Roxas's relationship.
- Immortal Immaturity: Practically all the countries.
- Incurable Cough of Death: Maid world springs to mind.
- It Got Worse
- Jerk Ass Mods. And they know it.
- Joke Character: Kevin
- Karmic Death: Bateman tends to die like this.
- Killed Off for Real: Kevin
- Knight Templar Big Sister: Ukraine. No question.
- Shown after one certain world where her little brother, Russia, had his innocence taken away some.
- Lady of War: Alleyne
- Like Is, Like, a Comma: Like, wherefore?
- Loads and Loads of Characters
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover
- Messianic Archetype: Jesus Christ. 'Nuff said.
- Mercy Kill: ;__; ...Saix.
- Misplaced Wildlife: The Octopus in Crayon Land
- Moment Killer: >Genuflect
- Musical Episode
- Nightmare Sequence
- No Ending: Ever. Deal with it.
- Odd Friendship
- Ontological Mystery
- Official Couple: Prussia/Yako as the longest standing example.
- Real Life Relative: Estonia's and Ukraine's muns. [1]
- True for the aforementioned Prussia/Yako ship too, whose players met through the game and then commenced a relationship.
- This case would be more of a Romance on the Set than Real Life Relative.
- Death's and Delirium's muns are real life sisters, who occasionally take on that sort of relationship role IRL.
- True for the aforementioned Prussia/Yako ship too, whose players met through the game and then commenced a relationship.
- Red Shirt: Kevin :(
- Rule of Drama
- Sadistic Choice: MURDER MANSION like whoah
- Screaming Woman: Its happened a few times!
- Serial Killer: Patrick Bateman
- Slash Fic: Patrick Bateman. ;)
- ...Oh God dammit.
- Stylistic Suck: Standards are deliberately kept to a minimum. Of course, this attracts some pretty good players who just like the lack of pressure.
- Take a Third Option: BURN IT (Murder Mansion) TO THE GROUND!
- Talking to the Dead: In Murder Mansion where people talk to the dead, and the dead can even respond.
- This causes some Tear Jerker moments.
- Team Dad: Ohaidar, Roland
- Temporal Paradox: Notably, the nations going back to their own repective times, meaning that Russia imprisoned Poland in 1949, so in 2009 Poland was still in a dungeon, communicating with Lithuania, who was in 1950, who then went to free Poland, and Your Head Asplode
- The Other Darrin
- Tonight Someone Dies: Murder Mansion plays with this quite a bit.
- Trapped in Another World
- Try Not to Die
- Unresolved Sexual Tension
- Valley Girl: We all know who.
- Wedding Day
- What Is This Thing You Call Love?
- White-Haired Pretty Boy: Hello there, Prussia.
