Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves/YMMV
- Adaptation Displacement: Some people are more familiar with the Mel Brooks spoof than this.
- Complete Monster: The Sheriff. The deleted scenes restored to the film on the DVD make it even more evident.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: Michael Kamen's opening theme.
- Draco in Leather Pants: The Sheriff of Nottingham gets this treatment, with many female fans finding him more attractive than the hero. It probably helps that Alan Rickman's performance is played to such hammy perfection that he steals pretty much every scene he appears in.
- That and the fact that he's, you know, Alan Rickman.
- Ham and Cheese: Rickman's Sheriff is easily the best thing in the movie.
- Unfortunate Implications: According to this movie, Celts were basically orcs. Apparently the filmmakers forgot that the millions of Celts still living in Ireland, Bretagne and Wales might take an offense. Also You Fail History Forever by pretending that they were a distinct culture in the 13th century England.
- They were a distinct culture, just as the Scots, Welsh, and Irish are today. The failure is in claiming there was a group of people known as "Celts," as opposed to one of the more specific groups.
- World of Ham: To be expected with a cast like Alan Rickman and Brian Blessed.
- YMMV, of course. Some of us found Blessed to be so subdued he wasn't recognizable!
- What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: Prince of Thieves breakfast cereal. A breakfast cereal based on a movie that starts with someone's hand being cut off and keeps going.
