Reservoir Dogs/Characters
Mr. White
- Affably Evil: He is the most polite of the robbers, tips waitresses, and has a distaste for killing innocent people, but as Mr.Orange found out the hard way, "just because he's a nice guy doesn't mean he won't kill you."
- Anti-Villain: Type I
- Badass
- Berserk Button - "Don't you call me an asshole!"
- Big Brother Mentor - to Orange.
- Even Evil Has Standards - He doesn't kill civilians. And he always tips waitresses.
- Hair-Trigger Temper
- The Hero: A villainous example.
- Jerkass: Although less so than Mr. Pink and Nice Guy Eddie.
- Large Ham
- The McCoy
- Rated "M" for Manly: "Shit, you shoot me in a dream and you better wake up and apologize" and other general badassery. Makes his extremely unmanly, undignified sobbing at the end of the movie all the more jarring.
- Noble Demon: In some ways.
- Villain Protagonist
- Villainous Breakdown: Very often due to his Hair-Trigger Temper, but the most prominent one was when he finds out that Mr. Orange is a cop all along.
Mr. Blonde
- Asshole Victim: Who doesn't cares if he dies?
- Ax Crazy: Oh, so very much.
- The Big Guy
- Bait the Dog: Jesus Fucking Christ.
- Cute and Psycho
- Faux Affably Evil
- For the Evulz
- Psycho for Hire
- The Sociopath
- Soft-Spoken Sadist: He never raises his voice even where he's describing to cop how much he'll enjoy tortured him or killing a crowd of people in a store because the alarm went off.
- The Stoic
Mr. Pink
- Asshole Victim: Suprisingly averted.
- Butt Monkey
- The Complainer Is Always Wrong
- Jerkass
- The Smart Guy
- The Spock
Mr. Orange
- Becoming the Mask
- Hollywood Nerd: Has a Silver Surfer poster in his apartment and talks about the Fantastic Four and Baretta.
- The Lancer
- The Mole
- Obfuscating Stupidity
- Pop-Cultured Badass
- Politically-Incorrect Villain: Averted. If you listen, he is the only character who doesn't spew racist, misogynist, or homophobic dialogue, which leads to a Fridge Brilliance moment when you realize he is a cop with a African-American chief, whom he seems to respect, and is probably a nice guy in real life.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: But so would you if you were shot in the gut.
- Took a Level in Badass
- Undercover Cop Reveal
Nice Guy Eddie
- Asshole Victim
- Berserk Button: "STOP POINTING THAT GUN AT MY DAD!"
- The Dragon: To his father.
- Fiery Redhead
- Non-Sibling Rivalry: He and his pal Mr. Blonde seem to have a little of this going on in their relationship with Joe. Subverted in that both men are genuinely loyal to one another.
- Jerkass
- Politically-Incorrect Villain: Even moreso than the rest of the cast.
- Villainous Breakdown: When he finds outs from Mr. Orange about Mr. Blonde wanting to kill all of them, and again when he gets involved in the Mexican Standoff between him, his dad and Mr. White.
