• Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Regina lives and breathes this trope. She's so endearing, and she always has a huge smile on her face. It makes you want to hug her and protect her.
  • It's worth noting that during her live performance at Lollapalooza 2007, she saw someone in the audience getting sick and stopped performing until they were helped. During this time, she bantered with the audience, asking them how they were doing.
  • Likewise, at an outdoor concert in Brooklyn in 2008, a sudden rainstorm soaked the audience. Regina left the covered stage, and returned with a bucket of water, which she poured over her head!
• Crowning Music of Awesome: "Silly Eye-Color Generalizations" is enough to show how she can turn an audience speechless with her voice alone. The finale of "Human of the Year" can also produce chills of happiness.
• Genius Bonus: "Samson" features many allusions to the Biblical story and is much more poignant if you're familiar with it.
• Les Yay: "Hotel Song" features the main character waking up in a hotel room next to some cocaine and questioning who a woman wearing her dress is. Other songs, such as "Somedays" and "Summer in the City" feature the narrator talking about being in love with and going to a protest to rubbing up against other women, but Spektor has said that she frequently writes songs from the perspectives of male characters.

• They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Some reviews have derided Regina, particularly for her latest album Far, for smoothing out eccentricities, being overly cute and becoming commercialized main-stream pop. An example here.
