- And the Fandom Rejoiced: The fact that not only was it a Rayman platformer without the Rabbids involved, but that it was also two-dimensional.
- It's now a retail game and coming out for the Wii.
- The E3 2011 trailer drove the fandom insane by bringing more elements from the very first game, most prominently the Big Bad Mr. Dark. Hopefully he won't be The Unfought this time.
- Nintendo Power giving the game a 9.5. As did IGN.
- Also, the fact that sales will affect Beyond Good and Evil 2.
- The retail release of the upcoming PC version will be DRM-free, which is significant considering Ubisoft's recent history with PC games.
- The PS Vita version(and maybe the other upcoming versions) will contain a new feature called Relics, which may help the title make more sense...
- Also, the Vita version will contain the ability to zoom in on the backgrounds, amplifying the Scenery Porn to new levels.
- A sequel is in development. That is all.

- Anticlimax Boss: Voodoo Mama.
- Best Level Ever: It's easier to list the ones that aren't a joy to play through.
- Non Sequitur Scene: The disco party with the Magician at the end of the game. You just fought your way out of his Death Trap to come back up to the control room, and instead of running away or fighting, he starts dancing...and Rayman inexplicably joins in.
- Broken Base: The possible return of the Rabbids in Legends has caused this, despite the game still being in development and the trailer being made as a demonstration of possible ideas. Although, some fans are delighted at the idea of finally letting Rayman beat up the Rabbids, something that he would have done in the cancelled Rayman 4 before it became Raving Rabbids.
- Crowning Music of Awesome/Ear Worm: The soundtrack, composed by Christophe Heral of Beyond Good and Evil fame.
- The trailer music successfully combines more 'orchestral' strings and jazzy horn sections with banjos and fiddles.
- The around the world trailer.
- The Dragon Trailer.
- The Magician's Theme.
- The "10 Ways To Die" trailer has more somber music, but it's still catchy as all hell.
- The (Unused) final boss music.
- The Land of the Livid Dead. Think of Ennio Morricone crossed with Danny Elfman, and you get the idea.
- The Darktoon Chase is one of the catchiest action-themes in the game, with its bizarre mix of jawharp, percussion and string orchestration.
- This Gourmand Land song fits the level so well, and is almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
- Evil Is Cool: In universe, The Magician sure thinks so.
- Funny Moments: The gamescom trailer.
- Monster Voodoo Mamma polishing her nails right before you fight her. This combined with the music playing is hilarious
- The entirety of The Magician's reveal.
- The Halloween trailer.
- The "Kal Penn VS. The Kid" trailer, featuring Kal Penn and hilariously highlighting the ongoing "Hardcore vs. casual gamer" debate. Features several Shout Outs as well.
Kal Penn: "What kind of epic weapons does this Rayman have? A rusty tire iron, a chainsaw? How about some tear gas? Or, oh, can he call in an air-strike on a A-10 Warthog?"
The Kid: "It's the White Gloves."
- Goddamned Bats: Pufferfish. So damn much. The timing to hit them is off, and it will take up to 5 seconds for them to retract the spikes again.
- Nightmare Fuel: Most of "Swimming with Stars" since it's the first level that isn't whimsical and cheery like everything else up to that point. If the creepy enemies didn't get you, then the oppressive darkness and haunting music will.
- Shocking Swerve: The Magician being evil comes out of nowhere and with little to no foreshadowing, granted, there is a reason in the beta script, but that isn't in the game now, is it?
- Some of The Magician's comments when you bop his top hat foreshadow his villainous qualities, or at least that he's not nearly as nice as other characters.
- Needs More Love: Ubisoft practically set this game up for commercial failure, with little advertising and a whole salvo of other blockbusters in the same month, one of them being of Ubisoft's own creation and on the exact same release date! It ultimately sold a paltry 50,000 in the first month since its release. Across all three consoles.
- It didn't help that some fans wouldn't buy it because they thought it isn't worth buying if it was originally conceived as a downloadable title. Keep in mind, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is on the line because of them.
- Strange thing is, it was actually rather profitable for Ubisoft, as it was made on a relatively low budget. They've also managed to sell over a million copies then, so it looks like the people did listen.
- Porting Disaster: Averted. the Wii version is still just as fun as the HD versions.
- In fact, the only real difference beyond the obvious was a small bit of music. Yes, really.
- The portable versions, however, don't have multiplayer at all. Particularly strange with the Play Station Vita version, where the system heavily touts its network features.
- The Nintendo 3DS version seems to be this, with messed up sound quality and worse framerate, if the E-Shop demo is anything to go by.
- Ruined FOREVER: The fact that Rayman Legends seems to be a Wii U exclusive seems to scream this to anyone who does not have interest in the Wii U.
- Sex Sells: The Nymphs.
- So Cool Its Awesome: The game has received extremely positive reviews by many major outlets, even from notorious Caustic Critic Yahtzee, and praised for its beautiful graphics, smooth controls and great level design, with the more noticeable complaints being the overly large amount of collectables and the lackluster story. Overall, it's a great platformer that seriously needs more attention, as seen by the dismal sales.
- That One Level: Pirates Treasure, mainly for the fact that there is a glitch that can make beating it extremely difficult. It's also a big Difficulty Spike for the Tricky Treasure levels.
- And also the Land of The Livid Dead.
- The time trial for Mecha No Mistake is particularly unforgiving.
- Some of the Moskito levels can reach near-Bullet Hell levels at points.
