Rather Vocalized Illusion/Characters

Rather Vocalized Illusion (like many Web Shows) generally features guest characters or bit characters. The show's creator also has a large array of well known characters in other work's that also carry Val'Kyr Studio's name.

Characters in Rather Vocalized Illusion:

The Psychosocialist

The Psychosocialist is the main character played by Ethan Anderson, and plays the assistant to Bhaal in every side video. In the actual show, he is usually absent.

The Monster

The Monster is a sprite, drawn to resemble a Gardevoir. It was represented in animated videos as a silent assistant to Bhaal. Since the dropping of animated videos, The Monster hasn't been seen since.

  • Badass: She is easily able to beat Bhaal into a pulp, usually when Bhaal does something to upset her. He generally remarks that it was totally worth it.
  • Cute Monster Girl
  • Fairy Companion: Seen alongside Bhaal in numerous videos and webcomics. Possibly not just an assistant...
    • When someone asked as a joke if Bhaal had any kind of attraction to Gardevoirs, he simply replied "Possibly."

Ascentia

Ascentia is another sprite designed to be used as an assistant. She is designed to look like Fluttershy.

  • Kid Sidekick: Ascentia behaves in a childish or innocent manner. Possibly a shout out to her appearance. Bhaal get's annoyed by this quickly.
  • Suddenly Voiced: Ascentia got a speaking role in one RVI, though it was a recycled Game Overthinker audio clip of Ivan.

Ragespawn

Ragespawn is the name for the manner Bhaal presents himself in a video on BioWare.

  • Berserk Button
  • Fan Boy: If you ever wondered if Bhaal liked BioWare...
  • Jerkass:If his similarities to Bhaal don't end at apperance and name,he's also an arrogant and abusive pedophile.

Brittany

Brittany the Adorkable

Brittany is the newest addition to the drawn characters, appearing mostly in the RVI Questions Blog and in the Shirt designs.

Characters owned or created by Val'Kyr Studios:

Matthew Ryder

Matthew Ryder was the protagonist of Bhaal's Tale of the Valkyrie series. A powerful Valkyrie, Ryder was best known for killing a God. Ryder is perhaps the most well known character Peet has ever created.

  • Badass Longcoat: Ryder wears a cloak, a long black cloak.
  • Dual-Wielding: Matt's swords, Rage and Fury.
  • Flynning: Matt tends to favor the flashy swordfighting moves that would normally be impossible with such heavy weapons.
  • Mary Sue: The entire story Matt appears in plays with this constantly. The mocking got to the point where anyone pointing out that Matt was a Mary Sue character would receive a "No Shit Sherlock" from the author.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Matt's design is very visually based off Anakin Skywalker. He even makes this remark when he receives his robes in the VERY FIRST CHAPTER.
    • The Lich King is also a strong resemblance, especially when Matt is wearing his armor.
  • The Chosen One: Ryder was selected by Athena to be her greatest warrior. He was also her executioner.

Ascentia Kortai

Ascentia Kortai is the protagonist of the second arc of the Tale of the Valkyrie series as well as Doomsday Ascending. She is a Val'Kyr Battlemaster with a high position of being the Grand Lord's personal confidante and bodyguard.

  • Cool Sword: Ascentia wields a bronze tinted sword that can deflect magical energy, cut stone like paper, and create massive showers of sparks when it meets something it cannot slice through.
  • God Mode Sue
  • In the Back: After defeating General Xebre in Doomsday Ascending, a wounded Ascentia is blasted from behind by Princess Celestia, and imprisoned for war crimes... after slaying the Val'Kyr who were attempting to destroy Equestria.
  • The Omnipotent: Ascentia is shown snapping her fingers to extinguish an entire star. She is also capable of deflecting or otherwise absorbing attacks made by particularly powerful Canon Characters.
  • The Stoic: Ascentia rarely shows extreme emotion in her adulthood. While she smiles and gets angry, it's always a calm and reserved form.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Ascentia enjoys throwing her weapon to attack airborne enemies.
