Rami Said Malek (born on May 12 1981) is an American actor of Egyptian descent. Best known for playing Kenny on The War at Home and Merriel "Snafu" Shelton in The Pacific, he has also played Tahno in The Legend of Korra and one of his upcoming[when?] roles is in Breaking Dawn as Benjamin.
Tropes used in Rami Malek include:
- Adorkable: Between his smile and the way he acts during most interviews, he just makes you go awwwww.
- Ambiguously Brown: One of the best Real Life examples of this trope. Thanks to his natural tone and naturally blue eyes, pinning down his nationality can be confusing if you don't already know.
- Badass Baritone: His deep voice is showcased as this in The Pacific as Snafu, and in The Legend of Korra as Tahno.
- Big Brother Mentor: It appears he's gotten one of these in Tom Hanks, of all people. After watching him work during The Pacific, Tom made sure to cast him in his next film, Larry Crowne.
- Blue Eyes: Of the most piercing variety.
- Estrogen Brigade Bait
- Mean Character, Nice Actor: He has played a serial killer, a battle-hardened Marine, a terrorist, and the winner of a championship who cheated four years in a row.
- Older Than They Look: Would you believe he's thirty?[when?]
