Pretty Cure and Allies
Ashley Cavanaugh/Cure Jun
Voiced by: Satoshi Hino (Japanese), Rupert Grint (English)
- Actor Allusion: "She really needs to sort out her priorities."
- "Knight to H3."
- Celebrity Voice Actor
- Dragged Into Drag: Not that he really cares what gender he dresses as anyway.
- Fake Brit: His seiyuu when speaking English before Ashley becomes fluent enough in Japanese.
- Fashion Magazine: The reason why he's wearing a scarlet tutu over pink tights in The Movie? Apparently, he got the look from one of these.
- Feminine Boy to Lillian's Masculine Girl
- Leotard of Power: In Cure form.
- Meganekko: Always pairs that fairy ballerina costume with glasses any time he gets saddled with it.
- Meido: His Halloween dance costume, which is based on the outfit worn by Wilhelmina Carmel. Also wears a maid dress in the Festival OVA.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Played painfully straight by Satoshi Hino, who lapses into Japanese Ranguage quite a bit; parodied by Rupert Grint, who "lapses" into a Midwestern accent every now and then.
- Opera Gloves: In Cure form.
- Panty Shot: Gets one in episode 18. Notably, it's the first episode where he wears a skirt with one of his casual outfits (even though he wears culottes as his summer casualwear, as seen in at least one previous episode).
- Pimped-Out Dress: Wears a Georgian dress to the epoch-themed school dance.
- Real Men Wear Pink: That incident where he was asked to wear a fairy ballerina costume from Shiro's recital while watching both the dress rehearsal and the recital proper.
- Rupert Grint
- Satoshi Hino
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The manly man to Shiro's sensitive guy and the sensitive guy to Takashi's manly man.
- Skirts and Ladders: Gets an eyeful from Lillian in episode 21 while climbing the rock wall in the recreation area of the Minami mansion.
Ashley: If I was a girl, and not hanging from this rock, I'd whack you with a mallet for looking up my skirt!
Lillian: Sorry! Not much else to look up at in this part of the bloody mansion!
Ashley: Try playing with Takashi, then! Mike's sake, Lily, you're such a pervert sometimes!
- Surprisingly Good English: His seiyuu.
- Tights With a Skirt: Enforced and gender inverted. Also wears black tights in Cure form.
- Unusual Euphemism: "What in the name of Mike!?", "For Mike's sake!", and variations thereof.
- Whole Costume Reference: His dress during most formal events is an exact replica of Orihime Soletta's costume.
- Wholesome Crossdresser
Lillian Newell/Cure Haruhi
Voiced by: Emma Watson (Japanese and English)
- Actor Allusion: Several to Emma Watson, including one in episode 37, where she even lampshades this trope ("Is this déjà vu?")
- Bifauxnen
- Catch Phrase: She tends to say "Bloody hell!" quite a bit, most notably in episode 36 when she thinks Takashi's losing.
Chopper: I'm sorry to inform you that it's virtually game, set, and match. I hope that you and your friends have made out your wills already, because your next move is going to be your last.
Lillian: Oh, bloody hell, we're all going to die...
- Celebrity Voice Actor
- Country Matters: From the first OVA: "See you next Tuesday!"
- Double Entendre/Exact Words: When asked by Sasami what a five-letter word for a four-letter word is, she responds with a five-letter profanity.
- Emma Watson
- Masculine Girl to Ashley's Feminine Boy
- Meido: A variation in the Festival OVA: as with the other girls in her class, her maid outfit consists of a white frilly apron over black gakuran.
- N-Word Privileges: Principal Yoshikazu yells at Shiraishi for accusing her of degradation just because she had Lillian say "See you next Tuesday!"
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Parodied in the English dub when Emma Watson "lapses" into a Midwestern accent more frequently than Rupert Grint (who voices Lillian's boyfriend) does.
- Painted-On Pants: Wears black leggings while she and Ashley watch Shiro's dress rehearsal and dance recital.
- Precision F-Strike: Several, though the most notable is in episode 21, where she subverts the Sound Effect Bleep trope in response to a question by Sasami.
Sasami: What is a five-letter word for a four-letter word?
[[[Beat]]]
Lillian: ...Bitch.
- Shorttank
- Surprisingly Good Japanese: Her seiyuu, considering her nationality.
- Tights Under Shorts: In Cure form.
- Tomboy to Fumi's Girly Girl
- What Did You Expect When You Named It?: In reference to Skynet: "What the bloody hell were those programmers thinking!?"
- Wholesome Crossdresser

Fumi Misaki/Cure Mizuki
Voiced by: Yoko Hikasa (Japanese), Kari Wahlgren (English)

- Blue Boy to Sasami's Pink Girl
- Deadly Game: Gets dragged into one in episode 36, with his own life (and those of the other Cures) at stake.
- Dragged Into Drag: But at least he'd gladly grin and bear it! He finally gets somewhat used to it in his introductory episode.
- Growing Up Sucks: Has this opinion around the halfway point when he starts worrying about his own puberty after one of his teammates experiences his. His friends, particularly Hiro, as well as his girlfriend Sasami, help him get over his insecurities on the matter.
- Heroic BSOD: Briefly, in episode 30 after Johan pushes him to his limit. A Bright Slap from Sasami snaps him out of it.
- Manly Man to Ashley and Shiro's Sensitive Guys
- Later deconstructed when he starts to enjoy crossdressing, as he struggles to reconcile his desire to be "a man amongst men" and his enjoyment of looking and dressing femininely. Even then, though, he still retains his manliness throughout; Real Men Wear Pink, after all.
- Meido: In the Festival OVA.

- Bright Slap: Administers one to Takashi in episode 30.
- Dragged Into Drag: But really, she doesn't give a damn!
- Everythings Better With Ninjas: Wears a shinobi shōzoku to the Epoch Dance. Of course, this shows just how ignorant she is about how ninja really work: she's actually dressed as a bunraku stagehand (ninja probably didn't wear shinobi shōzoku in Real Life).

- Meido: A variation in the Festival OVA: as with the other girls in her class, her maid outfit consists of a white frilly apron over black gakuran.
