Pretty Cure Evolve Hearts
Pretty Cure Evolve Hearts is an upcoming fanfic by curewish 8. It's the first series where the protagonist starts out as a Heel.
The Land of Heart was a peaceful kingdom populated by talking rabbits and ruled and protected by two princesses. Naturally, this peace wasn't going to last. An evil woman from another dimension, who called herself the Eternity, sent her perfectly created warrior, the Dark Iris after the kingdom to destroy the princesses. Of course, she doesn't do this completely, for the princesses escape and go to the Land of Strength. A bitter Eternity orders her servants to make with the princess destroying, and quickly.
As their world, deprived of its rulers, crumbles with the lack of power, the rabbits Chiyoko and Minto are sent to find two girls, the legendary warriors, Pretty Cure, who will be able to use their former powers as the Land of Heart's princesses and fight for their land's sake.
Together, the Cures must fight off the Eternal Dark's very persistent vassals, including Dark Iris, stopping them and reviving the Land of Heart, and learn new things about themselves and one another as they do so.
The members of Pretty Cure are:
- Yami Ayame (Dark Iris/Cure Iris)
- Aiko Yuuki (Cure Courage)
- Aiko Hanayo (Cure Treasure)
- Chiyoko and Minto (Chinami Yuka and Chinami Yuko)
The Cures' opposition consists of:
- Eternity
- Dark Iris (until she does a Heel Face Turn)
- Dorcha
- Nero
- Sombre
- Atra
While far from perfect and still unwritten, the story does have its fans. Can be found on Fanfiction.net and purifanstar.wikispaces.com.
A character sheet can be found here.
- Actor Allusion: Mikoto in the crossover episode with Pretty Cure Dimensional Evolution remarks that Ayame donated her most recent vocal chords to her. Emma Watson was an earlier choice for the English voice of Ayame before Cure Wish 8 started making her own casting decisions for all her fanfics. Emma instead wound up voicing the Villain Protagonist of Pretty Cure Dimensional Evolution, who shares some similarities with Ayame, including a Heel Face Turn midway through the series.
- Anti-Villain: Ayame, during her time as Dark Iris.
- Elemental Powers
- Casting a Shadow: Dark Iris, until she begins to Light'Em Up as Cure Iris.
- Making a Splash: Cure Courage
- Blow You Away: Cure Treasure
- Heel Face Turn: Ayame, eventually.
- Hero Antagonist: Yuuki and Hanayo serve as this until Ayame's Heel Face Turn.
- Japanese School Club: The Theatre Club.
- Precision F-Strike: "Crap" serves as this, as it's the strongest word the author wants to use.
- Real Life Writes the Plot/Crowning Moment of Funny: As a reference to the constant changing of her English dubber, in the crossover with Pretty Cure Dimensional Evolution Ayame jokes, "I swear, I have had so many vocal chord surgeries under Eternity that if I get one more in my lifetime, I'd definitely wind up permanently mute!" As a reference to the fact that Emma Watson was among Ayame's planned dubbers, Mikoto (who Emma wound up becoming the voice of instead) then says, "I blew out my own vocal chords once while I was still evil. I have you to thank for giving me my voice back by donating your previous vocal chords."
- The Rival: Ayame to Mikoto during their 3D crossover episode. They quickly get over it, though it did start out pretty heated, as a reference to the brief one-sided rivalry between the authors of both fics.
- Three Dimensional Episode: The as-of-yet untitled crossover with Pretty Cure Dimensional Evolution.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Mikoto and Ayame during their 3D crossover episode.
- Villainous BSOD: Ayame in episode 23, mixed with a Heel Realization, when she believes herself to be useless.
- Villain Protagonist: Ayame, during her time as Dark Iris.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Both of the Mentor Mascots are capable of shifting between animal and human forms.
