Persona 3/Trivia
- Actor Allusion/Casting Gag:
- Some of the responses on Female Main Character's dates (in the English verson) are lines given to Rise, another Persona character voiced by Laura Bailey.
Rio: What do girls do on group dates?
Female Main Character: KINGS GAME!
- A Michelle Ruff character (Yukari) into archery. Where have we seen this before?
- Karen Strassman voicing a Robot Girl. Seen it.
- Adored by the Network: Along with Persona 4, Persona 3 pretty much established the recent MegaTen fandom. Naturally, Atlus has been very quick to fund all sorts of spinoffs, remakes, rereleases, movies…
- Fan Nickname:
- In fan circles, the officially nameless protagonist has acquired the name "Minato Arisato (有里 湊)," the name given to the character in the manga adaptation. The Gender Flip protagonist in Persona 3 Portable has been lovingly nicknamed "Minako" by Western fans. She is also known as "Hamuko" (ハム子) by Japanese fans, loosely interpreting the last character of shujinkou (主人公), which means "protagonist", as katakana.
- The Japanese fandom has nicknamed the protagonist Kitaro, a reference to the similarly Peek A Banged GeGeGe no Kitaro.
- Other nicknames for the Female Protagonist are "MShe" and "FeMC" (presumably pronounced "fem-cee").
- Before the male Velvet Room assistant's name was released, fans referred to Theodore as Malelizabeth, Manlizabeth and Flight Attendant Kanji.
- Some people like to call Aigis and possibly other Anti-Shadow Weapons "Toaster".

- Hey, It's That Voice!:
- Alicia, Hrist and Lezard working together? AWESOME!
- Junpei is Edward Elric, Yukari is the new Etna.
- Aigis is (the new) Sarah Kerrigan, Ryoji is Luke fon Fabre.
- Ryoji (and the main character), Akihiko and Aigis are Cecil, Kain and Rosa respectively.
- The female MC in the PSP game is also Rise and Lust.
- Also in the English version, at some point in The Eighties, Aigis decided that she wanted to become God for some reason. Unfortunately, as this involved using parasites that made people violently insane, it was up to Shinjiro to team up with his other companions to stop her. But not until after they'd screwed up. Several times.
- Shit, Takaya is Even!!!
- And Vexen!
- Ryoji will make the whole galaxy dance for him!
- MAY AKIHIKO'S FISTS UNITE ALL!, and then Shinjiro yells LET'S PARTY!!!
- It seems that Suigintou became good and Shinku decided that she wanted to fight again on November 22nd.
- When Theo is fuhrer, all female Persona will wear TINY MINISKIRTS!
- Theodore: So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works.
- Wonder what the battle between Takaya and Theodore would be like?
Takaya: Gae Bolg!
Theo: Rho Aias!
- In Fate/EXTRA, Junpei is Archer/Robin Hood, Metis is Caster/Tamamo-no-Mae, and Theo is still playing as Archer/No Name/EMIYA?, with Takaya still resuming his role as Lancer/Cu Chulainn.
- In Fate/Zero, Akihiko is Lancer/Diarmuid with this Chick Magnet Power ... or a curse...
- You can have him and Takaya battle each other in Fate Unlimited Codes,
- Also, Ryoji is the Serial Killer in Fate/Zero.
- Shinjiro takes over Takaya's place in Fate/Prototype, the original Fate/stay night, along with Metis as his Master and Ken joins in as a dying Master of Rider/Perseus.
- Wonder what it'll be like if Aegis has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception?
- Or Mitsuru with these Psychic Powers and Mind Control?
- Ken is Shinji Ikari, along with the Male Protagonist as Kaworu Nagisa.
- Aigis joins in as Mari in Rebuild of Evangelion.
- Theo is the worst father ever. Ask Elizabeth or Yukari for proof.
- Name's the Same: Akihiko's deceased sister, Miki, shares her name with Baofu's deceased lover and partner from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
- No Export for You: Persona 3 Portable has been an example of this in Europe until April 2011. Aigis: The First Mission and Persona 3 Social, on the other hand, have only seen Japanese releases.
- The Red Stapler: The distinct clip-on style headphones and sports mp3 player used by both versions of the protagonist are real, they are the Audio Technica ATH-EM7 and Sony Walkman NW-S205F models respectively. Audio Technica would even go on to release a special version of that headphone model with a Persona 3 logo emblazoned on the sides. Unfortunately, at this point in time, however, both of these items have long since been phased out of production, and fans looking to get their hands on the real deal will have to fork up a lot of money for the look.
- Relationship Voice Actor: There are a few in this game, both in English and in Japanese.
- Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt are married in real life, so have fun shipping Minato and Mitsuru or see the part where Elizabeth bashes Minato with tons of spells on you.
- Also, Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey, who are the male and female protagonists voice another pair of heroes in Patroklos and Pyrrha in Soul Calibur V.
- Kazuya Nakai and Marina Inoue: Shinjiro and Main Female Character also did Zaka and Alicia in Valkyria Chronicles and Travis and Sylvia in No More Heroes.
- Hikaru Midorikawa and Nobutoshi Canna who are Akihiko and Takaya in this game have also done Tamahome and Tasuki.
- Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham are engaged in real life, and voice the Main Female Character and Theodore respectively.
- Another one for Yuri Lowenthal, but also Michelle Ruff, they voiced Odin Sphere's Beta Couple Cornelius and Velvet.
- Talking to Himself:
- In both the Japaneese and English version, the Male Protagonist shares a voice with Pharos and Ryoji with good reason. Averted in the games due to his Silent Protagonist nature (though it does lead to an amusing running gag where Ryoji finishes the Male Protagonist's sentences, always in a tone that doesn't even match the Male Protagonist's), but played straight in the films. In the English dub of Persona Q, he plays this straight with Yosuke.
- To a lesser extent, Grant George voices a member of SEES and Strega (Shinjiro and Jin respectively).
