New Breed of Kamen Riders

New Breed of Kamen Riders, alternately known as New Breed Of Riders, is a Kamen Rider Dragon Knight fanfic by "Bowling Is My Life". It follows the adventures of Erik, known as Kamen Rider Blink, a new Kamen Rider training in Ventara presumably sometime after the end of the original series. A new prototype Rider, Blink proves himself to be stronger than all the other Riders as well as Kit and Len's new best friend and apparently their new leader who fights to stop the evil Solavar from gathering the new Ability Decks and building an army of wicked Riders to do his bidding and Take Over the World.

So yes, as you can guess, it's one of those types of fanfics

But wait, we're not even getting into the best part yet. It's a Crossover with....ICarly, of all things, and that Erik is also Carly's boyfriend and father of her baby.....What?

The story can be found here.

Tropes used in New Breed of Kamen Riders include:
  • Beige Prose: Good lord those dialogue bits are hard to follow.
  • Bias Steamroller: When the writer was pointed out about the story's listing under the "So Bad it's Horrible" section of this wiki, he or she immediately assumed the entire wiki was nothing more than a site dedicated to bashing fanfics.
  • Boring Invincible Hero: Blink, naturally. Special emphasis on the boring part.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: About halfway through the story, Len and Kit just mysteriously vanish and are never seen again.
  • Deus Ex Machina: Seems to be the only thing that gets the plot moving.
  • Fail O'Suckyname: Flight, Intel, Surf, Brute...holy HELL, do the New Riders have stupid names.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: By the end of the most recent chapter, none of the canon Kamen Riders play any major roles and they are swiftly replaced by powered-up iCarly character plus a Mary Sue OC.
  • In Name Only: The canon Kamen Riders are shoved out of the way halfway through the story after being reduced to little more than Cannon Fodder, while the cast of iCarly are reduced to shells of their former selves and spend most of their time fawning over the author's personal Gary Stu.
  • Interface Screw: As if the lack of description in the dialogue wasn't bad enough, the constant POV switching makes it even worse.
  • Karma Houdini: Erik is never called out for getting an underage girl knocked-up. Not only that, Carly and friends still worship him like a god when he returns to them after leaving her and their lovechild on their own for three years.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Erik and Solavar are treated as if they've always been there from both sides of the crossover.
  • Thirty-Sue Pileup: Hooooooooh boy...
  • Transformation Trinket: Gone are the iconic Advent Belts of series and instead the Riders now morph into battle with...glasses. One reviewer summed it up: "They did this in Power Rangers before, and even by Power Rangers standards it was stupid."
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Plenty of supporting characters whereabouts are never mentioned such as Maya or Trent, but most glaringly General Xaviax and the other ten Kamen Riders (save Axe, who's mentioned being vented off-screen by Flight).
  • The Worf Effect: Taken to frustrating extremes. All the canon Kamen Riders are reduced to fighting like pussies so Erik and friends will look like uber-badasses.
