Namco X Capcom/Trivia
- Hey, It's That Voice!: See here for yourself. You're bound to recognize a few names. And just as examples:
- Sabine and Wonder Momo's VA was Ayako Kawasumi, also known as the voice actress of Akari Kamigishi and Saber. A ditzy Saber.
- Kikuko Inoue voices Valkyrie. She is what happens when Belldandy becomes a full-fledged Lady of War, COMPLETE with armor.
- Arisu Reiji is voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue. In Endless Frontier, he becomes a walking Shout-Out to Rom Stoll.
- Strider Hiryu and Strider Hien are both voiced by Kosuke Toriumi, who you probably have heard as Kiba and (in the most spectacular aversion of type-casting ever) Szayel Aporro Granz.
- Hideyuki Hori as Shou/Ginzu. He's voiced a ninja or two in the past.
- Most of the Street Fighter Alpha 3 cast reprises their roles, such as Cammy, Juni, Juli (all of them by Akiko Komoto) Ryu/Evil Ryu (Toshiyuki Morikawa), Akuma, M. Bison, (both by Tomomichi Nishimura) Karin (Miho Yamada), Ken, Guy (Tetsuya Iwanaga), and Rose (Michiko Neya). Atsuko Tanaka reprises her role as Chun-Li by virtue of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
- Marth Debuted in Smash Bros:
- So far, the only (legal) way to play a game with Reiji and Xiaomu in it is Endless Frontier.
- Project X Zone as well.
- No Export for You: It was said that the game was originally going to be released in the US, however Namco backed out at the last instance because a lot of their characters being unknown. Their loss. Moreso if you consider the fact that they threw in Bravoman for the Virtual Console. However, a group Defied Trope this trope by releasing a patch which translated the whole game into English. Still a moot point if you don't have a Japanese, modded PlayStation 2 or an emulator and the time to download the game.
- The Other Darrin: A few characters have undergone seiyuu changes (such as Ryotaro Okiayu as Captain Commando, taking over from Takashi Nagasako in the Vs. Marvel games, or Yuka Imai voicing Lilith instead of Hiroko Konishi), but a good number of the pre-voiced characters retained their respective VAs. In fact, some characters hailing from series where voice changes were a frequent event (i.e. Street Fighter) actually brought back some of the past seiyuu for reprisals.
- Talking to Himself: Many examples of this, due to the size of the cast.
