My Little Pony: Camaraderie Is Supernatural/Trivia

• Hey, It's That Voice!: Rina-chan appears as the voice of Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna.
• A Bunch of Us: Hinted at in the videos (a letter from Princess Celestia in the first episode name-drops Batman Gambit), confirmed in the commentary (they mention how proud they are that this series and Sonic F both have articles here).
  • In the second episode commentary, when refering to Rina-chan, Mystic Pyro Freak slowly emphasizes "Hey, it's that voice."
• Serendipity Writes the Plot:
  • A few of Mystic Pyro Freak's readings of Twilight's lines sounded a bit like Applejack, so the others suggested that she voice Applejack as well. Then, because Mystic Pyro Freak can't keep a consistent accent (by her own admission), she suggested the joke about Applejack's accent constantly changing.
  • In the initial script, Cyberlink wrote Fluttershy as a loudmouthed and obnoxious character, only to decide that this particular joke really didn't work. He couldn't think of a good way to make fun of Fluttershy--so instead he made a fourth-wall-breaking joke about being unable to bring himself to make fun of Fluttershy.
• Shout-Out: Of course!
  • In the first episode alone:
    • Music from Banjo-Kazooie plays during Twilight's visit to Sweet Apple Acres.
    • Fluttershy leads her chorus of birds in singing the theme song to The Andy Griffith Show
    • At one point, Spike says "I don't know what the pink one put in those cupcakes, but I can't stop eating them!" Although it might have been a drug joke.
  • From episode 2:
    • The RPG battle finishes with Fluttershy using Esuna to heal the manticore.
    • Said battle also takes elements and sound effects from both Super Mario RPG and EarthBound.
    • Steven Magnet laments that he'll never be able to "top that scientist fellow at this year's Mustache-Off". Given the creators' previous work, he's probably talking about Dr. Eggman.
    • The Shadow Bolts offer Rainbow Dash her own spin-off series, but she loses interest when they mention she'd "[play] in a band, and use music to save the world from evil."
    • Music from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann plays when Twilight figures out how to activate the Elements of Parody, their activation is accompanied by the power-up sound effects from Dragonball Z, and the main characters proceed to blast Nightmare Moon with a "Giga Parody Breaker".
    • Amusingly enough, Princess Celestia's return is accompanied by the same music as that of another missing princess.

• What Could Have Been: They weren't originally planning to do the episode, instead, they were making the Sonic Paradox main site "Pony Paradox", but decided to write the episode.
