My Life as a Teenage Robot/Characters
XJ-9/Jenny Wakeman
- Action Girl
- Badass Adorable
- Bare Your Midriff
- Cute Bruiser
- Do-Anything Robot
- FemBot
- Fetish Fuel Station Attendant
- Genki Girl
- Gratuitous Foreign Language: Japanese, helped by the fact that her VA Janice Kawaye is also Japanese.
- I Just Want to Be Normal
- Combined with I Just Want to Have Friends: Being a superpowered robot wouldn't be so hard for her if there were more bots as advanced as her.
- Redheaded Hero: Once had red body paint, and her makeshift human form is a redhead.
- Ridiculously Human Robot
- Wake Up, Go to School, Save the World
- Younger Than They Look: Technically has been alive for about 5 years, but has all the mentality of a teenage girl... usually.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair
Brad
- Casanova Wannabe
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass - his over-enthusiasm for trying to be a hero can be more trouble than help, but when he gets serious he can be pretty significant help.
- I Just Want to Be Special - to contrast him with Jenny's desire to be a normal teenager.
- Nice Guy
- Plucky Comic Relief
- Redheaded Hero
- Shotgun Wedding - Played straight, then subverted, then played straight again, all in a couple of minutes, with Tammy
Sheldon
- Asian and Nerdy: He's apparently half Asian.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass - He was a space pirate for decades. And a secret agent.
- Dogged Nice Guy
- Dude, Where's My Respect? - It's not that he can't ever get any respect, but he has to work much harder for it.
- Loves My Alter Ego - Silver Shell
- Nerd
- Single-Target Sexuality
- Stalker with a Crush
- What Could Have Been - Although you wouldn't guess so from the way Sheldon was treated in the show, Rob Renzetti wanted to make him and Jenny a couple.
Tuck
- Annoying Younger Sibling
- Badass Adorable
- Gasshole - Taken to its logical extreme in "Infectious Personality"
- Kid Appeal Character
- Large Ham
Nora Wakeman
- Never Mess with Granny
- Mad Scientist - has her moments.
- Mama Bear
- Motherly Scientist
- The Professor
- Truly Single Parent
Queen Vexus
- Big Bad
- Determinator - Even after losing multiple times to Jenny even to the point of losing her status as Queen, she still insists on attacking Jenny any chance she gets.
- Evil Matriarch - Subverted. She may be evil and the Big Bad of the show, but she still loves Vega (almost to the point of being overprotective, even.)
- God Save Us From the Queen
- Hellish Pupils
- Hey, It's That Voice!: She was voiced by Eartha Kitt.
- I Have You Now, My Pretty - Tends to fall into this slightly once she succeeds to capturing Jenny.
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain - Starts off as a huge threat, but becomes an easily dispatched threat later on. This really gets hammered home, though, when she eventually loses her dictatorship over Cluster Prime.
- Tsurime Eyes
Vega
- Blade Below the Shoulder\Cool Sword
- Expy: In universe, she's this for Jenny among her circle of friends, who, incidentally, look just like Jenny's friends back home.
- Power Gives You Wings: Dragonfly wings, in her case.
Misty
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: While not evil per say, she was absolutely confused by Jenny's remorse for scaring the Krust Cousins to tears.
- Even Misty Has Standards: Even though she only does hero work for money and sees no problem with meditating while a Killer Rabbit destroys the town, She was clearly disgusted that her former team mates lazed around and actually betted against Jenny as she fought against a Giant Monstrous Frog.
- Expy: Her appearance and powers are obviously based on Raven. (The fact that she was part of the "Teen Team" clinches it.)
- Superpower Lottery: Let's see...she's a skilled martial artist, has Super Strength, can fly, turn into mist, shoot laser beams from her eyes, and control peoples' minds.
- Super Smoke: Her most often used superpower is her ability to turn into a cloud of purple mist at will (hence her name).
- Morality Pet: Jenny is probably this to her.
