Monster High/YMMV
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Spectra just a know it all gossip with nothing better to do or is her past so traumatic (and possibly guilt-ridden) that she blocked it out to the point of not actually remembering it and surrounds herself in the lives of others because of this?
- Creator's Pet: Some fans are starting to see Draculaura (and to a lesser extent, Clawd) as this.
- Ear Worm: That goddamn Fright Song.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: The franchise itself is this to doll collectors.
- Ghoulia has been largely the fan favorite since her first appearance, which still remains. Her original doll easily sold for 4x its retail when released onto ebay. Mattel took notice of this and gave her 6 dolls in total for 2011, including the SDCC exclusive, giving her nearly as different versions as Frankie, Clawdeen & Cleo, two of which are only available in multipacks that fans have no quams about purchasing (despite that one is a repackage of 4 old dolls included with her) exclusively for her.
- Clawd and Heath also had quite a following, so much that both moved up to being main characters, and Clawd gets to have his own doll in a 2-pack with Draculaura.
- Evil Is Sexy: Toralei, mainly due to her Biker Babe-esque leather-laden basic outfit. Nefera is also considered to be this by some.
- Fan Dumb - a noticeable portion of the fandom dislikes that Operetta isn't more in traditon of the style of the original Phantom in both styling & personality but both of these were hinted at in her early mention.
- Guilty Pleasure: To quite a few older teens and adults that don't even collect dolls.
- Hate Dumb: A lot of people are complaining about it because they assume it's just Bratz with Cute Monster Girls.
- Mondegreen: The line Freaky, chic, and fly in the opening is often misheard as Where freaky shit flies/Where freaky shit can fly.
- Periphery Demographic: Many adults wish they had something like this out when they were young instead of Barbie or Bratz.
- The Scrappy: Melody from the book series, who is a massive Creator's Pet.
- So Bad It's Good: At times.
- Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped: The Kind campaign.
- Uncanny Valley: The specials are now done in CGI.
