Mobile Suit Gundam AGE/Trivia

• Fan Nickname: "Mega Man" for Flit, based on the design of his pilot suit.
  • GM Unicorn for the Genoace Custom, due to being a cross between Gundam Unicorn and a GM.
  • Gundam RAGE for the series itself, referencing the incredibly negative reaction to the series' announcement by many fans.
  • Zac Bertschy of ANN suggested the show be renamed to Gundam Ages 6-12. Presumably, he hasn't seen much of the show yet.
  • Not-Frau Bow for Emily Armond.
  • "DAT BEARD" for Grodek.
  • One that has popped up recently for Yurin is "Lalahtiffayurin Sune"
  • The G-Exes earned the nickname "Byaku-Shiki" quickly after its first appearance, for mirroring another Ace Custom mobile suit that tries to imitate the Gundam. Only it's white.
  • The Diva's mobile suit team under Woolf in the second generation seems to be earning the nickname "Woolfpack."
  • Pirate Gundam for the Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound.
• Hey, It's That Voice!:
  • Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Flit Asuno. Most remember him as Mikado of Durarara!!.
  • Hiroki Tochi as Captain Grodek Ainoa. So Lasse Aeon is now promoted to captain, eh?
    • And the second in command who succeeded him sounds like an older Hare Menjou.
  • Ikuya Sawaki as Hendrick Bruzar. Looks like Colonel von Kuspen gets to protect the Earth this time.
  • Aya Endo as Emily Armond. Kinue Crossroad has been resurrected as Flit's childhood friend.
  • Kazuhiko Inoue as the Narrator and Flit in the 2nd Generation, better known as Kakashi.
    • Jerrid Mesa is now The Hero!
  • Flit's mother may have the maiden name of Ismail. Not to mention they share the same first name.
  • Daisuke Ono as Wolf. Shizuo becomes an Ace Pilot.
  • Saori Hayami as Yurin. I hate people that lie. I said, with a posed look.
  • Desil is Feldt Grace...imagine a love child by her and Ribbons...plus the Nightmare Face.
    • Years later, he becomes a Thief that can immobilize his opponents!.
  • Sting Oakley becomes the leader of the Euba faction.
  • Louise Halevy is also in this anime in a minor role, she voices Riria.
  • Pala Sys from Gundam X became Mukred's hot wife.
  • Takuya Eguchi as Asem Asuno. Looks like Kazuya Kujo is going to pilot a Gundam.
  • Hiroshi Kamiya as Zeahaat. Tieria Erde becomes a Char!
  • Kana Hanazawa as Romarie Stone. Don't be surprised if she carries a placard printed with One Time One Hundred Yen.
  • Arisa trades her Guren-Nishiki Knightmare Frame for an Adele.

  • It seems that Homer Katagiri is the real Big Bad now. He plays Lord Ezelchant.
  • Ayako Kawasumi and Mamiko Noto again team up in a single series, this time as relatively minor characters who are Bridge Bunnies. Also they are Vagan pilots, part of the Magicians 8.
  • Kio will be voiced by Kazutomi Yamamoto. Now, Tsuyoshi pilots a Gundam.

  • Takehito Koyasu is the voice of Frederick Algreus. Nothing more needs to be said.
  • Romi Park as Shanalua Mullen. This time, the pilot actually is a girl.
  • Fram Nara is voiced by Minako Kotobuki, meaning Zeheart's subordinate is no other than Mugi.

  • After years being on the Archangel, Cagalli and Kuzzey become crew members of a ship again.
• I Knew It!: Take a hard look at the brownish-black mobile suit at the end of Episode 8 and compare that to the UE. Coincidence? I don't think so.
  • Yurin's death. Longtime Gundam fans saw this coming a mile away, thanks to the similarities her character had with Lalah Sune.
• No Export for You: Bandai Entertainment announced that a simulcast with English subtitles would be released in Australia and Southeast Asia... but not in the United States or Canada. It will surely be released to North America eventually, but it's not clear how long that will take since Bandai Entertainment is undergoing a re-structuring process.
• Relationship Voice Actor: Many of the cast in Gundam AGE have also worked in Durarara!!!!.
