• What Could Have Been: David Ramírez has shared quite a lot of information in the recopilatory album "Todo MiniMonsters":
  • He presented lots of new characters: Jack O'Sea (A gluttonous Jack O'Lantern stand-in), Julie Kay (a gill girl who fears water), rich couple Bovy and Ofilia, Elsa (A Love Interest for Frank created by Rattus Sapiens), Satan's son Lucifernando and alien tourist AI.
  • Consequently, he had plans for Rattus Sapiens to come back as a recurring antagonist.
  • Minimonsters originally was a short story for a book named Cómo Dibujar Monstruos (How to Draw Monsters). The Dibus! magazine director loved the characters and suggested they could become a series. Thus, Minimonsters was born.

• Word of Gay: While it's using the "Gaysper" meme, this twit seems to confirm Gus as gay.

• Word of God: David Ramírez stated that the reason for the adults' lack of faces is because if a human looks at an adult monster's eyes, they'll go crazy as a result, and this was a way to protect them. Consequently, Victor's grandmother's face can be seen because she's so old she acts like a child.

• Working Title: The series was originally going to be named MiniMon as a nod to Pokémon and Digimon.
