Mega Man Unlimited/YMMV

And this is a mini-boss, Hammer Man. He didn't make the cut..
  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: Being a fan game, it certainly got a lot of hype.
    • Specific elements that caused joy were the inclusion of the slide maneuver and charge shot (the latter being unlockable).
  • Anticlimax Boss: Well depends if you think Hammer Man should still be a Robot Master or not.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Almost all the music, but especially Tank Man, Wily's Castle 1, and Rainbow Man.
  • Ear Worm: Stage Select music and of course Comet Woman's.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Hammer Man, especially for those who want to see him as more than a Mini Boss.
  • Fan Dumb: Not quite as bad as the one for the official series entries, but it does tend to be ignorant and impatient (most don't even read the FAQs, for one).
  • Gary Stu: Yoku Man is arguably this, as he seems to has a LOT of preferential treatment planned for him, by his designer Starsimsuniverse. To wit:
    • A supposedly extensive backstory that wouldn't even fit on his data card (such as the fact that he comes from part unknowns).
    • His power is based on an infamous series staple, making him skirt the line of Villain Sue.
    • The privilege to be a hidden robot master in the main game, rather than being an unlockable bonus outside of it (like, say, the Rockman Killers in 10). He also must be fought before the player can go to the Captured Wily Castle.
    • Starsimsuniverse expressed the desire to have him become a public domain character, so that everyone could use him in their fan games.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: See Expy.
  • Narm: As most of the Robot Masters were designed when Mega Phil X was younger, they end up falling into this. However, this was intentional for Glue Man and Nail Man.
  • Pandering to the Base: The development of the game itself is a form of this, due to the fans begging Mega Phil X to make a full project out of his fan-made trailer. Although, Phil is a dedicated Classic Mega Man fan, so it evens out somewhat.
  • Seinfeld Is Unfunny: Possibly. Given that the game is still under development, has inspired other 8-bit styled Mega Man fan projects to be started up and the latest official entry has more features, only time will tell if it falls into this.
