Lois and Clark/Fanfic Recs
Proof that the remaining 10% is worth dying for here.
These are recommendations made by Tropers for Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.
You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.
Page Reconfiguration in Progress: Fan Fic Recommendations is being split into pages for each individual series, so help is needed to classify each entry into the appropiate category, and to format it according to the template.

- lcfanfic is an archive of Lois and Clark fanfiction, with special icons denoting fics that were deemed to be the best of the best. Lois & Clark Fanfic Message Boards is one of the main message boards of the above site. Works are usually posted here first and reviewed before their completed versions are edited and archived (see above). The entire system promotes an astonishingly high level of quality.
- A couple of small corrections. The icons on the Archve denote those stories which have been nominees and winners in the fandoms annual Kerth Awards. These are nominated by Fo L Cs themselves. The Archive itself makes no distinction and has no opinion on which stories are the 'best of the best'. And the Fanfic Messageboards aren't the messageboards of the Archive. They are a completely separate forum.

General Fics
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.

- Synopsis: In this story, Clark Kent—well, a Clark Kent, anyway—stumbles into our universe while secretly rescuing a plane-load of people. We were told in 1978 that we would believe a man could fly, but would we really? Author is amazingly (and tragically) realistic in handling the reactions of various peoples and governments after an unknown plane lands in post-9/11 Washington DC.
- Comments: An award winner

- Synopsis: A Continuation Fic for Lois and Clark, set twenty years after the events of the series. A little girl is found unconscious by the side of a country road in Delaware. When she wakes in the hospital the next morning, she has an impossible story to tell—she claims that she's Kara Zoe Kent, middle child of three to Clark Kent and Lois Lane. But Clark Kent and Lois Lane are fictional characters. Obviously the victim of an aborted kidnapping, Kara is given into the care of a foster parent, who tries to help a young child who is either extremely imaginative or actively delusional. However, when Kara's powers suddenly all manifest, what's fictional and what's not aren't quite so clear any more.
- Comments: An extremely well-written, complete story by the author of one of the classic Ranma ½ fanfics, Genma's Daughter.
Shipping Fics
Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

- Synopsis: Lois and Clark are trapped in the future their descendants created. Humorous, romantic and suspenseful all at once, this story actually won an award from the site that hosts it.
- Comments: This wonderful time-travel story was written entirely to explain a minor bit of Fridge Logic in the Pilot episode. An example of Fan Fiction being better than the original show.
- Agreed, it's a terrific story. But, again, the annual Kerth Awards - the fandom's award for outstanding fanfic - are given by the fans themselves. The Fanfic Archive simply puts icons beside each year's nominees and winners, but it doesn't award the Kerths.
