The Heroes

Johnny Thunder

• Adventurer Archaeologist
• Awesome Aussie: From Brisbane.

Pippin Reed (formerly Gail Storm)

• Hot Scoop: As far as we can tell by LEGO standards.
• Intrepid Reporter
• New Powers as the Plot Demands: Suddenly can pilot planes after Harry Cane got Brother Chucked.
• Smurfette Principle: Occasionally subverted by the appearance of minor females.
• Technical Pacifist: Doesn't use a gun, but can throw a punch pretty well.

Dr. Charles Kilroy (formerly Dr. Charles Lightning)

• Absent-Minded Professor
• Bow Ties Are Cool: Never seen without one.
• Expy: The Henry Jones Snr to Johnny's Indy.
• The Mentor: To Johnny. Some sources say he's the latter's uncle.
• Nerd Glasses
• Nice Hat: Is never without his pith helmet.

Harry Cane

• Ace Pilot
• Badass Moustache
• Brother Chuck: Disappeared after the first theme.
• Punny Name: His name is a play on 'hurricane'.

The Villains

Lord Sam Sinister (formerly Mr. Hates, Baron von Barron)

• Aristocrats Are Evil: Lord Sinister and Baron von Barron, anyone?
• Arch Nemesis: Has only failed to appear to oppose the Adventurers once.
• Beard of Evil
• Continuity Snarl: His name, his appearance, his title, such little backstory as he has...
• Dastardly Whiplash: Does actually look a little like Dick Dastardly...sometimes.
• Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a scar down the side of his cheek.
• High-Class Glass
• Hook Hand
• Man of Wealth and Taste
• Names to Run Away From Really Fast: Two out of three of his canonical names.
• Nice Hat: Either a pith helmet or a top hat.

• Series Continuity Error: Her name on the box is 'Alexis Sanister'.
• Siblings in Crime: with Sam.

• Bald of Evil: But with a ponytail.
