Hey Arnold!/Trivia
- Hey, It's That Voice!:
- In season one, Arnold was Tripod and King Bob.
- In season 2, he was Noah from the defunct Nick sitcom Noah Knows Best.
- Harold is voiced by Justin Shenkarow, who played Marshall's friend and fellow follower of the weird, Simon, on Eerie, Indiana.
- Scheck in the movie. Sgt. Phil Cerreta? Paulie Cicero? Is that you?
- Tress MacNeille and Dan Castellaneta as Grandma and Grandpa, and Maurice LaMarche and Kath Soucie as Big Bob and Miriam Pataki. Oddly, none of these four - who between them could voice an entire cast of animated characters - have any other major roles.
- Phoebe's father is none other than George Takei.
- Then there's the late Lou Rawls as Harvey the mailman.
- And watch Recess, chances are you'll hear some characters from this show there. For example, Helga is Upside-Down Girl.
- Stoop Kid is Montana Max, Bobby Budnick, Dave the Barbarian and Jack Spicer.
- Also, Rhonda was Chloe, Mao and Ty Lee, and Big Patty was Loopy and Tenten.
- Olga is Mike, Smellerbee, Adam and Chum Chum
- Eugene is both Numbah 1 and 2, as well as Sai. Let the latter sink in for a moment, considering Eugene is rather Camp Straight while Sai is known for being Ambiguously Gay.
- There are two Polish dub of this show. The first was done in 1997 (only 26 episodes) and the second one was done in 2008.
- Arnold is Little Bear in the first dub and Wilbur in the second dub.
- Gerard is Jonny Quest in both dubs.
- Helga is Annabelle in the first dub and Emily Elizabeth in the second dub.
- Harold is Shark in both dubs.
- Eugene is Finn in both dubs.
- Phoebe is Zoe in the first dub and in the second dub she was once Pinkie Pie.
- Grandpa is Officer Dibble in the first dub and he is Darkwing Duck in the second one.
- The Japanese dub of The Movie has Loran Cehack as Gerald! Even better: Noriaki Sugiyama voices Stinky in the TV show.
- In Turkish, Helga is Katara.
- In season one, Arnold was Tripod and King Bob.
- Shrug of God:
- Arnold and Helga WILL get together... eventually.
- Also, even though there's little chance of The Jungle Movie ever being released, Craig still remains tight-lipped about many key details like the true fate of Arnold's parents and the possible implications.
- What Could Have Been: Helga was supposed to get her own spin-off set some a few years in the future, but the idea was axed because it would have been "too dark" and too much like Daria. *Sigh*
- The 'Jungle Movie'.
- In the first season there was another tenant named Lana was originally going to have a crush on Arnold, getting him to do favors for her and regularly making him uncomfortable. Nick execs of course found this too disturbing and axed the idea. After several attempts to rewrite her character they just gave up and dropped her altogether in season 2.
- Word of Gay: Mr. Simmons.
- Word of God: All that's canon is that Helga confessed to Arnold in The Movie, and there are plans to go the Jungle to find his parents. We are able to construct what happened after that based on several interviews with creator Craig Bartlett. In the jungle, Arnold confesses that he loves her too, they kiss (and are interrupted by Gerald), and they find Arnold's parents. They move back to the city (which is called Hillwood, FYI), Arnold and Helga start dating, and continue to do so for a few years. Arnold's parents eventually decide to return to the jungle and Arnold goes with them, ending it with Helga; the would-be Spin-Off The Patakis is set during the time that Arnold is in the jungle somewhere. Presumably, at some point he returns and he and Helga re-kindle their romance (which probably would have been the Grand Finale of The Patakis.)
