Flushed Away/Trivia

• Hey, It's That Voice!: Wolverine gets flushed down a toilet and ends up in the London sewers. To get home, he needs the help of Rose DeWitt Bukater, who is none too happy about it. Along the way, they must battle Gandalf and his clueless henchmen Gollum and Davy Jones, who isn't quite as bad as we all thought. Oh, and the new Inspector Clouseau's sidekick is apparently a ninja.

  • Rita's father is Hercule Poirot.
• Shout-Out - Several.
  • X-Men, given Hugh Jackman, who voices Roddy, portrayed Wolverine. The Wolverine outfit cones from the comics, rather than the films, though.
  • James Bond - Roddy has a throwaway bit involving a suction cup dart gun.
    • A movie titled "Die Again Tomorrow", nevertheless. That scene also has numerous DVD cases with punny titles ("12 Angry Folks", "A Few Good Puns") or straight-up DreamWorks films.
  • "To the Ratmobile!", complete with a cutaway spoofing the campy Adam West series.
  • Newspaper clipping referencing mysterious veggie monster terrifying local gardeners (Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, also by Aardman).
    • I'm pretty sure there is a Gromit head in the interior of Rita's ship.
      • And a Wallace outfit in Roddy's closet.
    • Also, in Roddy's owners room in the beginning, you can see a stuffed Gromit (and also a stuffed Alex the lion as well.
      • And there's three stuffed bunnies from Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
  • Just about any Disney cartoon toon. Espically, the goldfish when Roddy is first in the sewer.

Goldfish: " Have you seen my dad?"

• • The candy bar in the sewer (although the DVD commentary maintains this one is a coincidence).
  • In the fridge one of the frozen rats has clothing suspiciously similar to Han Solo and is in a similar stance to Han after he was frozen in carbonite.
  • And then, of course, there's Sid.
