Earth was only an appetizer.

Low budget direct-to-video sci-fi horror film made by Mark and John Polonia in 1996.

Reportedly produced on a budget of five hundred dollars and shot with a consumer camcorder, Feeders follows buddies Derek and Bennett as their road trip gets sidelined by an invasion of people-eating aliens. It was followed by a Christmas-themed horror-comedy sequel.

Tropes used in Feeders include:

• Aerosol Flamethrower: Employed by Michelle.
• Alien Abduction: Bennett; others sometime prior to the film.
• Alien Invasion: The feeders are coming.
• A Man Is Not a Virgin: Averted. Derek is the only one to make it out of the film alive, besides runaway Action Chick Michelle. Derek is also a virgin. He's almost a Final Girl.
• Ambiguous Clone Ending: After Bennett is abducted and cloned, a clone fight ensues. Derek attempts to resolve the thing by picking one and killing it with an axe. It's not clear until the credits that he picked incorrectly.
• Badass Santa: In Slay Bells, Santa defeats almost all the Feeders with a ray gun.
• Chaste Hero: Derek.
• Covers Always Lie: Perhaps a minor point, but the tagline on the box states that "Earth was only an appetizer" when the film is indeed set entirely on Earth.
• Direct to Video: ... but carried and promoted by Blockbuster at the time of its release, raising its profile slightly.

• Kill'Em All: Pretty much everyone gets eaten except Michelle, who disappears halfway through the film, and Derek. On the other hand, the film ends with an impending invasion, so they're probably doomed too..
• Making Use of the Twin: John Polonia plays Bennett, but Mark Polonia is credited as "Evil Bennett".
• Nerds Are Virgins: Derek, our nerd protagonist.
