Dragon Age Redemption/YMMV

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: Both Felicia Day fans and Dragon Age fans seem to be taking the news like this.
  • Double Standard Rape (Female on Male): No one really calls Nyree out for trying to rape Josmael (he clearly wasn't interested). When Tallis does, it's because it's time to move out, not for any moral reason.
    • One, it was hardly rape, just an aggressive come-on. Two, that's a little unfair to Tallis, as it's clear she was a little creeped-out by Nyree's attempt at seduction.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Opinion on the series is divisive, but Nyree is a hit with most of the fans.
  • Hypocrite: Tallis. She went against orders to rescue young girls from a pedophile, but rescuing a girl intended for a blood sacrifice? Nope, stick to mission parameters!
    • Actually, not so much, more like a lesson learned. Tallis clearly views attempting to save Feena as a mistake.
    • It is likely that that incident taught her not to veer off from her mission then.
    • She later tries to correct that mistake by trying to rescue Feena first. Which turns out to be a mistake.
      • Cairn, being a Templar, often veers into this. Someone like Josmael, born with the gift of magic is clearly an abomination in the eyes of the Maker... but Reavers such as Nyree, who became what they are by ritually drinking dragon's blood, he won't even bother to bat an eye at. What? This might have to do with the warped priorities of the chantry more than anything else (reavers have magical abilities but aren't technically mages).
  • Too Dumb to Live: Josmael. Granted, he is young and inexperienced, but his Keeper should have hammered it into his head early on when encountering Templars, it's best that you do not tell them you are a mage.
    • He was First to a Keeper that got nabbed by the Templars, so it's not like he had a particularly brilliant mentor, anyway.
    • Which is even more impressive that we know that the Dalish can and will sacrifice themselves so they can ensure their Keeper survives. All in all, either they didn't like their Keeper or this seems to be the worst Dalish clan imaginable. The clan being devastated by a raid because the sentinels all got themselves killed before giving a warning also bears this out.
