Digimon V-Tamer 01/YMMV
- Complete Monster: Lord Daemon is the lord and master of all Virus Digimon and the driving force of evil in the story. Daemon kickstarts a war in the Digital World to slowly tear it apart and kill everything in his forces' paths, and regularly sends out his homicidal generals and commanders who put countless Digimon in danger. Callously murdering any of his minions who fail or attempt to betray him, Daemon corrupts young Neo Saiba into becoming a ruthless psychopath who kills hundreds of Digimon while training the powerful Arcademon in the ways of destruction. Though seemingly betrayed by Neo, Daemon arises in the end to reveal his true machinations, assuming control over Arcademon and boasting his plans to bring death and destruction to both the human and Digital Worlds, wiping out all life on both until only those that he deems worthy of his rule are left alive.
- In this same manga, Myotismon is a bloodthirsty sadist with the ability to poison the souls of Digimon. Driving an entire town of Digimon to the brink of annihilation by forcing the residents to kill each other, Myotismon captures Tai and brutally beats the boy before attempting to force his Digimon Zero to butcher him, all to Myotismon's utter delight. Returning from his seeming death as VenomMyotismon, he takes part in a massacre of the Holy Castle, slaughtering everyone in his path while cackling before attempting to murder an entire group of Digimon children while forcing their teacher, Leomon, to watch.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: Taichi and Zero have a habit of doing this.
- Jerkass Woobie: Sigma and Hideto. You can't help but feel sorry for these two guys after you learn why they do what they do.
- Neo Saiba, on the other hand, averts this by basically catapulting himself over the Moral Event Horizon from his first appearance onward. By the time you learn about his real intentions, you're just about ready to pound him into a bloody pulp anyway. It doesn't help that he came off as an arrogant prick, even back then.
- Iron Woobie: Zero goes through oh so much abuse in battle and comes close to death many times.
