Cuanta Vida/YMMV
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Relative to the TF2 canon. Loads; no two members of a class act exactly the same way, or exactly like the canon depiction of their class.
- Justified since the classes that die are taken over by newly-hired recruits, bringing their own personalities and baggage to the job.
- Analysis of various characters can be found here.
- Angst? What Angst?: BLU Engineer takes losing his hand to Rojo surprisingly well.
- Complete Monster:
- Rojo
- The BLU Medic, arguably.
- Fan Nickname: Sort of averted. The names used by the fandom are all official, but are never used within the comic itself. Played straight with the new RED Sniper, who's referred to as Elvis Sniper.
- The escape committee formed by a coalition of RED and BLU team members is sometimes referred to as Team Purple. The term also suggested when some people thought the RED and BLU soldiers would declare a ceasefire and hunt down the deserters, but that never actually came to pass.
- Foe Yay: Bleu and Rojo.
- Fridge Brilliance: On page 66, Bleu said Sniper "didn't seem to want to talk" when he gave Bleu the suitcase with the cameras. Red said on page 67, which takes place in the BLU base, "I stayed here last night." With their relationship and all, what else could it be?
- Page 70, in which Bleu tells the devastated RED Scout about Red's death, is titled "He's Dead, Jim." Only a mildly amusing Star Trek reference, unless and until you read Kytri's interview and learn that the RED Scout's real name is James.
- Fridge Horror: Just what the hell are BLU Soldier and Rojo doing with the assorted body parts they've collected?
- Also BLU Sniper's Eye Scream. Think about it: the last thing he sees is someone who looks like his dead lover. For a moment he'd think that it's Red, alive and well again. But it isn't Red, it's just grotesque mockery of him. Using this moment of weakness the mock-image of his lover proceeds to remove his eyes.
- He didn't just gouge out Sniper's eyes - he "removed" them "like a surgeon", with hardly any blood left behind - showing that he was very precise in how he did it. As well as this, he also managed to sever Scout's Achilles tendon and cut off Engineer's hand, all in a very short space of time. It's almost like he's had practice at this sort of thing...

- Funny Aneurysm Moment: "If I kill them, they'll just be replaced with ones that are harder to hit." Just a little aside at the time; not funny at all now that Rojo's shown up.
- Magnificent Bastard: Red. Heironymus has specifically said that he is "a complete bastard, albeit a charming one". Rojo qualifies, too.
- Memetic Mutation: Pickle thief!
- Also, in the forums: "EVERYTHING IS ROJO IN DISGUISE!!"
- Moe: The Meganedanshi RED Medic.
- Nightmare Fuel: Good grief, panel 10 here.
- Paranoia Fuel: Rojo is a good source. To quote Kytri: "I like how I seem to have accidentally trained a bunch of you to expect Rojo and/or something horrible around every corner. To the point where some suggested he would have killed every one in the little underground hideout here. He doesn’t know they’re down there, and there are like six guys in there. He’s scary but he’s not superhuman."
- Squick: The fate of BLU Sniper's eyes.
- Stoic Woobie: BLU Sniper, after Red's death.
- Tear Jerker: Red's death and the many aftereffects, including Sniper's death.
- The Woobie: BLU Spy, BLU Pyro, BLU Sniper, the RED Medic.
