Big Order
What would you wish for? When you had one wish granted, whatever it is? I want to become a singer, I want money. I want immortality, I'm sure they're plenty to choose from.
But mine is slightly different.
A new manga by the creator of Mirai Nikki and Hanako and The Terror of Allegory. Hoshimiya Eiji is an introverted high school boy who believed that he wished for the destruction of the world ten years ago. With that wish he became one of the people who were granted a power though their wishes, called Order. He became afraid of his power and decided not to use it again, forgetting his wish. As he tries to live a normal life without his power, people who knew his secret appeared and attempted to kill him.
The mysterious girl who grants people the Order, a girl who attempts to assassinate him and the true nature of his wish. This is the beginning of Hoshimiya's conquest!
- Affably Evil or Faux Affably Evil: The Prime Minister of Japan orders decapitation of several people, has it broadcast to the entire nation... and then politely apologizes to anyone who happened to have their meal while watching that. It remains to be seen whether that's his real personality or a mask.
- Ambiguously Evil: Hiiragi does seem to have some sort of plan, but it remains to be seen what it is or what his moral standing is.
- Awesome McCoolname: Abram Louis Fran
- Badass: Let's see, Eiji was willing to run through a building filled with armed soldiers to save his little sister. Yeah, he qualifies.
- Big Brother Instinct: Eiji, to Sena.
- Crapsack World
- Curtains Match the Window: Rin.
- Cute and Psycho: Rin, very much so.
Rin (charging at Eiji with a sword): Die, Eiji ♡
- Expy: Rin is obviously based off of Yuno. She would be a blatant Captain Ersatz, except she's more of a Yangire than a Yandere. But that may change depending on how her relationship with Eiji develops.
- Eiji is very clearly derived from Lelouch. He can control people using a special power he got from a Super Empowering entity (who, incidentally, is sharing his room), he's very protective of his wheelchair-bound little sister, and he wants to make the world a better place by conquering it. He also bares a striking resemblance to Yukiteru Amano.
- Would that make Daisy an Expy of C.C.?
- Eiji is very clearly derived from Lelouch. He also bares a striking resemblance to Yukiteru Amano.
- First Episode Spoiler: Eiji's wish and Order aren't to destroy the world, but to conquer it.
- Flower in Her Hair: Rin
- Girlish Pigtails: Rin
- Gonk: The Prime Minister of Japan.
- Healing Factor: Rin's Order.
- Immortality: Type 3.
- Healing Hands: Rin is also capable of extending her healing to others.
- Hellish Pupils: Daisy. They're shaped like stars.
- I Have Your Wife: The Prime Minister of Japan correctly deduces that Eiji is merely a puppet leader of the coup d'état actually organized by the Order users who are officially his subordinates. Thus, to force them to surrender, he reveals that he had their relatives arrested and orders his subordinates to start decapitating them.
- Idiot Hair: Daisy
- Irony: The main character with the ability to make people do whatever he wants is then manipulated into being a puppet by a Nebulous Evil Organization, effectively taking away his choice in the matter.
- Loophole Abuse: Rin tries several indirect attempts at killing Eiji in chapter 3 due to his Order preventing her from doing so directly. They all fail though
- Non-Standard Character Design: One of the Order users appears to have a timber with eyes and mouth painted on it for a head. Also, the Prime Minister.
- Pals with Jesus: Eiji is this to Daisy, the seemingly omnipotent fey/alien/demigod/thing which was responsible for the Mass Super-Empowering Event of ten years ago.
- People Puppets: Eiji's "conquest" Order amounts to this. It's not straight mind control, as Rin was obviously aware of her own actions.
- Psychotic Smirk: Hiiragi has this expresion at the end of chapter 9.
- Puppet King: As revealed in chapter 4, several other Order users intend to make Eiji a figurehead and Take Over the World under his nominal leadership. He starts to try to take the initiative and get some actual power in the very next chapter though.
- Reused Character Design: Quite a few character designs from the writer's previous work get reused here. Eiji's and Rin's designs are very visibly based on Yukiteru's and Yuno's, while Hiiragi looks like Akise with longer hair. The master of the stone giant introduced in chapter 7 looks a lot like a grown-up version of MurMur, though some of her facial expressions are more reminiscent of Minene.
- Sidekick Ex Machina: Daisy, seemingly.
- Spell My Name with an "S": It's either Abram or Abraham depending on the translator
- Spiritual Successor: Mostly to Mirai Nikki. Makes sense, since they're by the same author.
- Super Empowering: Daisy's chief ability.
- Superpower Lottery: Sort of. A person's Order is based on a wish they make, but how that wish gets interpreted will vary. At any rate, Eiji is probably the winner, since he can not only control people's bodies, but their Orders as well.
- Take Over the World: Eiji's goal. He got the idea from a manga he was reading as a kid.
- The Only One Allowed To Kill You: Rin feels this way towards Eiji and her devotion towards that goal is strong enough for her to bust Eiji out of prison in chapter 3. It seemed that she's abandoned this mindset by chapter 6, where she leads the stone giant to Eiji's hideout to let it try to kill him, but then it comes back in chapter 8, where she decides to end her alliance with the master of the giant for that very reason.
- Time Master: Abram's Order
- Urban Fantasy
- Utopia Justifies the Means: Averted for the moment as of chapter 2. Eiji considers using his powers in that way, but realizes that isn't the way he wants to conquer the world
- Villain Protagonist: What Eiji wants to be.
- X Meets Y: Mirai Nikki meets Code Geass.
- White-Haired Pretty Girl: Daisy
- Your Days Are Numbered: Sena
- You Killed My Parents: Rin's reason for wanting to kill Eiji.
