Zoran Kvržić

Zoran Kvržić (Bosnian pronunciation: [zǒran kʋřʒitɕ]; born 7 August 1988) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a right back for Turkish club Kayserispor and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Kvržić started his professional career at Proleter Teslić, before joining HAŠK in 2009. The following year, he moved to Osijek. Three years later, he was transferred to Rijeka, who loaned him to Spezia in 2015 and to Sheriff Tiraspol in 2016. In 2020, Kvržić signed with Kayserispor.

Kvržić made his senior international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011.

Club career

Early career

Kvržić came through youth setup of his hometown club Proleter Teslić, which he joined from a local team. He made his professional debut in 2005.[1]

In February 2009, he joined Croatian club HAŠK.[2]

In July 2010, he signed a multi-year deal with Osijek.[3]

Rijeka

In February 2013, Kvržić was transferred to Rijeka for an undisclosed fee.[4] He made his competitive debut for the team against Istra 1961 on 12 July.[5] A week later, he scored his first goal for Rijeka against Hajduk Split.[6]

Kvržić won his first trophy with the club on 13 May 2014, by beating Dinamo Zagreb in Croatian Cup final.[7]

In January 2015, he was loaned to Italian side Spezia until the end of season.[8] In July, his loan was extended for an additional season.[9]

In July 2016, he was sent on a season-long loan to Moldovan outfit Sheriff Tiraspol.[10]

In November 2017, Kvržić extended his contract until June 2020.[11]

On 2 December 2017, he played his 100th game for Rijeka.[12]

In September 2019, Kvržić signed a new three-year deal with the club.[13]

Kayserispor

On 8 January 2020, Kvržić moved to Turkish team Kayserispor on a two-year contract.[14] He was sent off on his official debut for the side against Alanyaspor a week later.[15]

International career

In December 2011, Kvržić received his first senior call-up to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for friendly game against Poland,[16] and debuted in that game on 16 December.[17]
