Yukhym Konoplya (Ukrainian: Юхим Дмитрович Конопля; born 26 August 1999) is a professional Ukrainian football defender who plays on loan for FC Desna Chernihiv in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Career

Born in the Donetsk Oblast, Konoplya is a product of the Shakhtar Donetsk youth sportive school system in his native city.

FC Desna Chernihiv

He made his début for FC Desna Chernihiv in the Ukrainian Premier League as a second-half substituted player in a winning home match against FC Vorskla Poltava on 3 August 2019.[1]Yukhym Konoplya with the club of Chernihiv qualified for the Europa League third qualifying round, for the first time in the history of the Club.[2]In summer 2020 the club FC Desna Chernihiv agreed to extend his contract for 1 year more [3]

International career

Konoplya was a part of the Ukraine national under-20 football team that won the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He played one of the key roles in Ukraine's success, appearing in 6 from all 7 of his team's matches and made a four-goal assists.
