WMXO is a radio station licensed to and located in Olean, New York. The station broadcasts at 101.5 MHz and plays a Contemporary Hit Radio format. The station is currently owned by Sound Communications, LLC.[1][2] WMXO has been broadcasting since November 1, 1978.[3]

Local hosts on Mix 101.5 include Bobby O'Neil, Colin Edwards, Jen Austin. Local specialty programming on the station includes The Retro Lunch Hour, an all-1990s (and same ‘80s) music hour on weekdays between noon and 1 PM, hosted by Jen Austin.

National news is provided by the ABC News Now. Syndicated programming on WMXO includes American Top 40, "Backtrax USA", "Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend Top 30", "In The Mix with HK", and Sunday Nite Slow Jams w/ R-DUB!.

From September 2012 to December 2013, WMXO shifted to contemporary hit radio.

Effective September 10, 2014, Sound Communications, LLC purchased WMXO and three sister stations out of bankruptcy for $275,000. A sale to Standard Media is slated to close in early 2020.[4]
