Trickster (Canadian TV series)
Trickster is an upcoming Canadian drama television series, slated to premiere on CBC Television in the 2020–21 television season.[1] Adapted from Eden Robinson's 2017 novel Son of a Trickster,[2] the series centres on Jared, a First Nations teenager and small-time drug dealer who becomes increasingly aware of the magical events that seem to follow him.

The series stars Joel Oulette as Jared, Crystle Lightning and Craig Lauzon as his parents Maggie and Phil, and Anna Lambe as his neighbour and love interest Sarah, as well as Kalani Queypo, Joel Thomas Hynes, Gail Maurice, Georgina Lightning and Mark Camacho in supporting roles.[3]
The series was directed by Michelle Latimer.[3] In advance of its television premiere, an episode of the series will be screened in the Primetime program at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival.[4]
