"TooTimeTooTimeTooTime" (stylized as "TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME") is a song by English rock band The 1975 from their third studio album, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships (2018). It was released on 15 August 2018 as the album's third single.[6] The single peaked at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the band's eighth top 40 entry on the chart.[7]

Release

The song had its premiere on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show on 15 August 2018. It was made available for purchase and on streaming services after the radio debut the same day.

Reception

DIY magazine gave the single a positive review. Will Richards said the track has "the catchiest chorus we've heard this year", summarising his review by calling the song "a very silly pop song – that makes you feel on top of the fucking world".[8] NME also gave the track a positive review, calling the track's lyrics "knowing, insecure, romantic, flawed, and cocky at the same time".[9]

Music video

The music video for "TooTimeTooTimeTooTime" debuted on Spotify in a vertical format on 15 August 2018.[10] The fullscreen version made its YouTube debut on 29 August 2018.[11] The video features lead singer Matty Healy and fans of the band lip syncing the lyrics against varying colourful backdrops.
