Time Served is the third studio album by American rapper Moneybagg Yo, released on January 10, 2020, through Roc Nation, Collective Music Group, Bread Gang Entertainment, N-Less Entertainment, and Interscope Records. It features collaborations with Lil Baby, Blac Youngsta, Future, DaBaby, Summer Walker, Fredo Bang, and Megan Thee Stallion.[2] Production is handled by Tay Keith, 30 Roc, DMacTooBangin, and many more.

Release and Reception

Moneybagg Yo first teased the album's release in an Instagram post on December 19, 2019.[3] He later on confirmed the album's title, release date, and track list in now-deleted Instagram posts from January 8 and 9, 2020. The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard top 200 albums, selling 66,000 copies first week. The album has since gone gold, along with its 3 singles. "All Dat" was certified platinum on July 10th 2020.

Singles

"All Dat" with now-ex-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion was released on October 10, 2019, as the album's lead single. Its accompanying music video was released the same day.[4][5] The single was produced by Denaro Love.

"U Played", featuring Lil Baby, was released on January 3, 2020, as the album's second single.[6][7][8] The single was produced by Tay Keith. An accompanying music video was released on January 13, 2020.[9]

"1 2 3", featuring Blac Youngsta, was sent to rhythmic contemporary radio on April 14, 2020, as the third single of the album.[1]

Critical reception

QD of RatingsGameMusic gave the album a "C" rating, saying that although Moneybagg had "sneaky good punchlines and overall relentlessness", he settled for "lazy hooks, lazy features, lazy lyrics, and lazy production".[10]
