Theodoros Ziakas (municipality)

Theodoros Ziakas (Greek: Θεόδωρος Ζιάκας) is a municipal unit of the Grevena municipality.[1] Before the 2011 local government reform it was an independent municipality.[2] The 2011 census recorded 1,297 residents in the municipal unit.[1] Theodoros Ziakas covers an area of 241.768 km2.[3] The seat of the municipality was in Mavranaioi.

Name

It was named after Theodoros Ziakas, a 19th-century leader of the Greek struggle for independence.
